This is not it. I do not know what the cut off This is what I used in my science class in 6th grade. A segment of the pre-test was filled out by students In order to observe osmosis, I soaked a membrane with starch, tied off the ends and immersed it in salt water solution. The membrane worked efficiently.
Despite its impermeability to sucrose, it does not dissolve sugar. The sucrose solution works perfectly for a osmosis lab that I use with this.

This is a great resource for AP biology.
I use this dialysis tubing very effectively in a diffusion/osmosis experiment that I conduct in Biology and AP Biology.
It worked exactly as it should have. In our biology lab (I am a teacher), we demonstrated osmosis using this system. The tubing worked flawlessly as well -- I have used it from other companies with no issues in the past. Due to its smaller size, I prefer it because it uses less solution and ties knots easily.
The price was a bit high, but I got it to use in my teaching lab It was a big hit with the students. I am pleased with the.
The quality of the product is good, but it smells funky.
Dialysis experiments may be conducted with this system (iron thiocyanate, starch/iodine, etc. ) with good results.
Osmosis labs will find this useful.
