This is an accurate and useful tool, but it has a number of shortcomings

The dechlorinator filter in my koi pond is tested frequently to make sure it's in top shape. The next thing I do is to check the drinking water to see when the filter needs to be changed. In the past, I have used a different test strip that was easier to use and faster. With this test strip, the length of time you should swish the strip in 2" strokes depends on the water temperature. Thanks to my digital thermometer, I can measure the water temperature easily. You will need to insert the temperature into the chart, then set a timer and start the swishing process. You can now match the strip color to the color chart provided after the time is up. For the other strips, dip for two seconds, wait for a minute, and then match the inside of the bottle to a color chart. These are cheaper than other brands, so I bought them. I won't be able to do that next time.

For koi ponds, this is the best way to measure small amounts and is the only one that is accurate

There can be deadly effects even from tiny amounts, and this is the only kit that I am able to find that will detect While it is slightly more cumbersome to handle than a strip, strips are ineffective for koi ponds because the lowest level on them is higher than levels that kill koi according to my experience after I lost 220 pounds of fish by relying on In the end it turned out to be chlorine, and this strip was the only way to find that.

Test Strips are only for Ultra-violet rays, so they aren't my favorite, but these work great Testing of chlorine at low levels
