Questions & Answers

Can you please let me know and if there is an expiration date (if any) for ?

I hope you have a good day. We currently have an inventory of the Coliform Bacteria test that will expire on 3/2017 (March 2017) as of today, 10/8/2015.

Do you have a one-time rate, or would it be a recurring fee You can test multiple times with a time test kit What do you mean by "use test kit"?

I will only be here for one day Kit for measuring the passing of time.

The black light I need is what is it? Can you describe it in a few words?

To test for E, you need a black light. Like a fluorescent light, a black light is black or dark purple in color. Right here on Amazon you can find a small one that will be adequate for this test.

There is a mention of a light in the initial product description. In "product description," scroll down to the bottom and you'll see that it has a light or not. ?

It is necessary to check for E with an UV light. If you are only checking for coliforms, you do not need a light. To conduct this test you can use any UV light (blacklight), I used one cheap one I bought at Walmart during Halloween.

The ideal house is one that combines both quality and affordability The bacterial contamination test is based on a blood sample The update has been posted
3/5

Testing for both coliforms in general and E. coli is pretty simple with this test. A 365 nm UV light can help you detect E. coli (if you have one). The test is qualitative, and no documentation is available that specifies the test parameters (sensitivity/specificity). A lab will be able to require a quantitative test if needed (e. In particular, the amount of coliforms after culturing, not just whether or not they exist). The result I got with my own test result was positive (for both) initially, then turned negative after a bleach bomb (so far). If bacterial contamination is an issue, this test is a good option to check periodically, possibly with a lab-based test, if necessary. A confirmation based on the incoming data if it turns out positive or a quality check on the incoming data if it is negative. I recently took pictures of my positive test sample, showing the progression from the yellow sample (which looks like a urine sample) to the blue-colored sample. A couple of days after, it turns green, and a UV test is needed. If the test is negative, it stays Here's an update As a result, this has been revised to three stars as the color change can sometimes be It is clear from the last picture, showing the two tests, that both were positive. There are two good examples (although the one in blue is nowhere near as good as the other). A quantitative test conducted simultaneously by the cooperative extension lab as well as a drawing were conducted at the same time. The results were as follows The water was contaminated by massive amounts of coliform (but not by The coliform bacteria). A test can almost never be 100% sensitive (or specific), but this should serve as an indication that any test with this kit showing any changes should be backed up by quantitative information.

Result was as I expected
5/5

The bottle on the left is from industrial test system, while the other bottle is from another company from which I bought it through Amazon. We just shocked our well, and I just passed My husband and I had to get tested for coliform and total coliform) for the 4th time in order to refinance our home, somebody suggested a diy test bottle, I bought another one from a different company to make sure the results were Two bottles of well water were filled almost to the neckline and placed on our water heater for two days "to incubate. " I was surprised to see the two bottles have different results, as you can see from the pictures. We were left with no other choice but to call the water company again to test our well water, and the results of the new test show our well is negative. The total cauliform count and the E. coli count. A DIY bottle of this type produces an accurate result, and as a result I recommend this.

Value that is questionable
3/5

The color of the sample remained yellow for 24 hours after it was incubated at 95 degrees. I'm not sure if this test is accurate. However, the next day it changed color to a bluish green color. It appeared to be fluorescent when I exposed it to a UV light, but it was difficult to tell. I've noticed a bright glow on most surfaces when I shine a UV light on them. E can be of different kinds. The deadly E. coli and S. aureus share the stage. I am aware that the widely used 3M Petrifilm indicates the presence of E. coli 0175, but I am unsure if this test will confirm this. The E. coli virus, however, is not the same as the This is strain 0175 of E. coli. E. appears to be present in this test. What is strain 0175 of E. coli? There is no information in the literature. Because I am testing well water that will just be used for irrigation, I am only concerned with testing for This is strain 0175 of E. coli. For my purposes, I am not sure this is a helpful test. Probably one of the best, cheapest ways to test water is with the 40 There does seem to be a general kind of result provided by these consumer quality tests, but it appears that's all they can offer.

There is no instruction manual to cover the "My" Test result
4/5

Reading the instructions upon receiving the kit made me realize that I had not read them. your hands with soap and water, remove the cap, fill with water (1/2" from the top), replace the cap, shake until dissolved, and place incubator for 24 hours. Well, it's been 48 hours since the yogurt maker had been incubated at 85 degrees F (with a thermometer next to it))and we can now observe the A yellow negative is clearly visible, a blue negative is not! Green positive. Purple is my favorite color! Are there any mistakes on my part? Could you use more time? Does the test kit need to be replaced? I would appreciate any help you can provide. There are no instructions for Purple, so obviously this isn't covered. Please take note Colors are shown without the use of a black light (UV). The absence of fluorescence can be attributed to black light. Here's an update *After 3 days, the test turned yellow and remained that way for 2 days more. My only wish was that the instructions stated that "Purple" color was normal until the test was completed. It is true that the test requirements specified 77 or 95 degrees as the heat. Perhaps this issue has to do with the incubation temperature of 85 degrees. I knew that wasn't good enough, but my equipment only allowed me to do that. The kit will be replaced with an identical one, and I will retest. To increase my rating, I am giving it three stars. The results of the new kit test were more specific than the last kit test. I am updating the rating to four This test was conducted with a different water source that was known to have runoff from a Within two days, I received a positive result.

Please be aware In this test, the coliform bacteria were negative, but in the real estate lab test, they were positive
3/5

This set of tests is one of two I bought. Our parents are selling their home, so we took a comprehensive real estate test to get an idea if there are any issues. The water tested fine EXCEPT for coliform bacteria levels. In the first instance, we shocked the well with chlorox and then we did this test about six weeks later. It came back negative, so we assumed we were After another 9 months before the house is under contract, I bought another one of these before paying the $$$ for the real estate water test. This second one also came back negative. I went through with the $$$ real estate water test, and the coliform test failed again. The only conclusion I can come to is that this test is either not very sensitive or.

A great way to determine where contamination is coming from
4/5

Using this method, I was able to identify the source of the coliform contamination in my well system, which was easy to use. The water has a total of coliforms in it, but not E. I have previously done a full test ($$$) which showed no Having run each test at every stage of the system would have been too expensive to diagnose where the contamination was coming from, so I used this test. I ran three tests during the process. It didn't concern me that E was there. I did not need a UV light for the coli detection. Following the instructions closely and sampling the water will yield the best results There is no marker line in the test bottle, so I used a large syringe to sample the water and add accurately the amount of water needed. Following that, I placed the eggs in an egg incubator set at 35C. After 24 hours, the results were in. We knew which areas needed treatment and what could go on without additional treatment. The results were easy to read

One star was deducted for the lack of a marking line for the.
