Moen 1394 Collection Push Button Diverter Extension Kit, Chrome

This one is the LONGER of the two. I originally purchased the 1198, which is a shorter version of the 1198. I then threw it behind the shower curtain. Oops. br>br>In this case, the 1394 is ideal. It's simple to set up and quickly resolved my problem. When the shower is turned off, the button automatically pops out. Back in the day, I had to manually pull it out. br>br>Replacing it is difficult due to the 1" diameter of the base. I have sockets that match, but you can't use a socket wrench because of the length of the diverter. I simply wiggled the diverter stem off because I was replacing it. I was then able to remove the bolt with ease using my 1" socket attached to my impact driver drill; I hand tightened the diverter when installing it, then used my 1" socket to tighten it with my hand; no issues after a week.

This model has a long stem. The chrome stem is 2-inches long. 3/8" in length The first one I got had a small pinhole leak where the stem met the brace fitting, but this one is perfect. I was able to get my old one to work again after soaking it in Lime Away. Simply prop it open with a knife between the white disc and the brass fitting by standing it up on the plunger. Pour in the lime and soak it for a few minutes until it starts to move freely again.

I initially ordered the incorrect part, but it turned out to be the correct one. I saved a lot of money by not having to hire a plumber for a 15-minute job. I contacted Moen directly and they were of no assistance.

My old Moen shower faucet was replaced with a perfect and direct fit. My shower now turns off automatically, and the stem pulls out as it should without my assistance. Repair is simple and straightforward.

Genuine Moen part that is simple to install. Everything is in order. I was replacing the plumbing in my 1930s home and was astounded to find this part on Amazon so quickly. Installation will necessitate the use of a plumber's socket.

It was an excellent solution. The one I had before had broken down. To install, you'll need a deep/pass through socket. It was about 1 inch in diameter, according to my calculations.

By purchasing and installing it myself, I was able to avoid a visit from the plumber as well as save some money. It's simple to put together (all you need is a 1" socket and a good pair of vice grips). I now have a functioning shower once more - Why haven't I done this for the past four months? When the water is turned off, the hose retracts automatically. In general, I am very pleased!.
