I did not have the opportunity to see it demonstrated in nursing school, and the hospital where I did my clinicals did not provide this device, however some medications were provided using this model. It took a while to pull the med out of the cartridge, then we did what we needed to do. It was given to me by a fellow nurse on the unit I did my clinicals on. I bought it, and it was extremely helpful I plan to put this in my pocket after school and then use it while I'm working. We are now in November 2019. Fast forward to July I have been an emergency room nurse for almost a year and a half now. My husband and I almost always use this device at Last night, it finally fell apart on me. The case may have experienced some wear and tear from everyday use or from getting clunked around with when carrying it. Two more I'll keep in my locker so I can use one as a spare.
If there is a way to keep me from having to use a needle and getting stuck, I am all for it. It doesn't require a needle or syringe for injection on an IV line and is environmentally friendly.
The quality of the product is good.
The best thing about it is that it pushes.
