For a 120ft AFX slot car track, I have 2 of these. Each lane has its own. It has been about 6 months since I purchased them and I haven't had any problems. I have no problems with them.

During the day can I safely leave this powered on?

Controls based on analog signals are completely useless

As the coarse and fine dials do not spin all the way around, it is almost impossible to dial in a precise voltage. It would have been helpful if we had a pot of five or ten turns.
