These glass pipette droppers appear to work reasonably well and are reasonably priced; I wasn't sure at first, but decided to take a chance based on some of the reviews and Amazon's reputation for excellent return policies. They arrived in excellent condition, which I will continue to use for storage until I can find something more suitable. br>br>Like some of the other reviewers, I use these primarily for essential and carrier oils, as well as making my own cosmetics and lotions (I also use them to make some of my own health supplements and other mixtures). Overall, these pipette droppers are adequate for my needs. They're good for measuring essential and carrier oils, especially because they're easy to wash and clean, and they're long and narrow enough to fit into containers. I have a lot of different oils in various sizes of bottles, and I've never had a problem with these pipettes. br>br>To clean, I remove the red rubber caps and wash the glass pipette with soap and water using a small lab brush that I bought on Amazon. I clean and wash the rubber caps with a cotton swab. I put them in the dishwasher after that. Sometimes there's still water in the red caps, but I simply dry them out with a clean cotton swab. When using some of the heavier carrier oils (e. g. , safflower oil), this doesn't always work. , such as Tamanu oil), because they leave a film that is difficult to remove. To clean and dry the insides of the pipettes, I use cotton swabs with long wooden handles. To some, this may seem excessive, but because of the mixed use, I like to make sure that I clean these thoroughly before reusing them. br>br>The glass isn't particularly thick, which should come as no surprise. I've had no problems with these after a lot of use. If you're worried about breakage, plastic pipettes are a good alternative, though I wouldn't use them myself. br>br>The only drawback I can think of is that these pipettes lack measuring marks, but I was aware of this when I bought them. If I need that level of precision in my measurements, I have some other pipettes that are a little more expensive. If you don't need exact measurements, these are a great option.
These are what I use to extract carrier oils from larger bottles. What I really like about them is how long they are. I label the red stoppers to keep track of which oils I used in each. They're also great because the narrow tips prevent dripping when filling small roller bottles with oil. Because I only use essential oils, I wanted glass droppers rather than plastic. These are a fantastic idea. The hummingbird tip is particularly lovely. It enables you to drop with extreme precision. Unfortunately, the tips are extremely delicate, and three of them were broken when they arrived. I'm still debating whether or not to give them back.
Part of my dissatisfaction stems from my own fault: the description claims a 3ml capacity, but the bulb isn't sized to hold that much liquid. I can only draw in 1 if the bulb is almost completely removed from the tube. 75 ml. I only needed something to draw in 2ml, so I figured I'd get something that could do three, but this won't do it.
