This item was so loud right away that I had to put it outside; even after placing the centrifuge on the porch with the door shut, I could still hear it, and I was worried my neighbors would complain! Yes; That's how loud it is. If you can find a heavy object to keep the lid from vibrating against your body, the sound will be muffled slightly, but not significantly. Having said that, the item works, but be aware of the noise level.
I bought this centrifuge and didn't use it for nearly 6 weeks after that. It's brand new, right out of the box. The top flies up when I switch it on. When you turn it on, it's so loud that it vibrates the top open. I have a product that I've never been able to use and that has passed its return deadline. It sucks a lot.
It works, but it makes a lot of noise when it spins up and down.
It was a success. It did exactly what I needed it to do - to slow the flow of blood.
I would strongly advise against it!.
