Is there a way to secure it?

You should be able to lock the door with the lock and key. We don't make use of it in this way.

Is it possible to use a standard master lock in the hole?

No, a standard full-size master lock will not fit into the locker's handle. The locker's lock is a smaller version of the one that came with it.

This small locker was perfect for the job

It stands at a height of less than a foot. My son desired a safe, or something similar, in which he could store and secure his prized possessions. We had a $30 budget to stick to. This small locker was perfect for the job. The front of the locker has a vent, a locker number plaque, and a black miniature handle, and it is under a foot tall and about 4 inches wide. It also appears to be quite sturdy and not at all flimsy. The door opens with a nice smooth swing. There is a shelf on the inside to help organize things. My only gripe with this locker is that we had planned to secure it with a lock. However, given the available space, this is unlikely to occur- We'd be lucky if we could wedge the door shut with a popsicle stick stuck through the narrow handle. Overall, I'm pleased with the product for the price; the color is a nice bright green, and it has a lot of realistic details.
