For slide preparation, this Eosin Y works well with methylene blue. There are two caps included: a regular cap and a spout cap. There's also a dropper bottle included. The spout cap is what I prefer to use. This Eosin Y is ideal for creating blood films for microscopic analysis. It's of the highest quality. br>br>A blood smear is stained with methylene blue and then washed with water before being stained with eosin y. Methylene blue and eosin Y are mixed together in "Wright's Stain," which is used for the same purpose as well as histology examination.
