DIMENSION OF VIALS: These sample vials have a 9mm closure and a diameter of 11mm on the outside. 6mm in diameter, 32mm in height, and 2ml in volume. 100 pieces per pack.

AMBER GLASS BOTTLE: Light-sensitive samples are protected from UV light by amber borosilicate glass. It can be sterilized before or after filling and is ideal for containing all injectable preparations with acid, neutral, or alkaline pH. It also has good thermal shock resistance.

SEALED INTERIOR DESIGN Silicone and PTFE are included in the bi-layer. Multiple injection septa made of silicone. Organic samples require a PTFE-lined screw cap.

EASY TO IDENTIFY: A writing patch is used to identify or label samples. Short-thread caps and vials require fewer turns to form a tight seal, which saves time, especially when considering how frequently vials must be opened and closed, as well as how many samples you have.

WIDE APPLICATION: These amber vials and caps are suitable for a wide range of standard HPLC and GC applications, as well as high-throughput analyses. All common autosamplers can use the lab vials, but they are most commonly found on Agilent, HTA, Shimadzu, Thermo, Varian, Waters, and other brands.

Is it true that these are completely sterile?

They aren't sterile in the least.

Is it okay if I keep essential oils in these vials?

The vials have a relatively thin wall because they are intended for single use in an auto sampler for an analytical instrument. In terms of storage, they should be fine thanks to the PTFE cap liner.

If there is liquid in them and they are in the cargo hold of an airplane, do they leak? What's going on in the cabin?

There is no fluid leakage anywhere on the plane or in the passenger compartment.

Is this something that can be put in the autoclave?

Yes, I'm referring to the vial. No, not the cap.

It's perfect for what I've needed in the lab. The cap is well-fitting. To make the cap more resistant to volatile or corrosive solutions, I use Kapton tape on the underside. These are well-made, and the caps stay on securely; there are no issues to report.

5 mL (rather than 2 mL). The seller was extremely helpful and reached out to me when I expressed concern that these were too small. If you're using these in a lab, they should be fine; however, the seller generously offered to send larger vials. The seller was fantastic to work with.
