If you're looking for a pill-sized capsule, this is far too big. This is how I make my coffee every day. The cone's bottom is about 1 ft. The hole is approximately 1/4" in diameter and measures 3/4" from edge to edge. I hope this has been of assistance.
At the very bottom, mine has a 17mm outside diameter. However, I wouldn't leave it teetering on the edge of a 20mm vessel. A 1000 ml Erlenmeyer with a 40mm opening was the narrowest mouth I've left it in. And it was a risky situation. It fits perfectly in a mason jar with a diameter of 50mm.
Other reviewers claim to use it to filter their coffee in the morning, but I can't find any mention of the funnel being made of tempered glass. Pouring hot or boiling water into the funnel should be done with caution.

This is a pyrex glass funnel with a height of 3 1/4 inches and a width of 4 3/8 inches (total width or 3 7/8 inches inside width). The fact that the funnel's bottom opening is only 1/4 inch wide may have been mentioned in the description, but I don't recall seeing that information. I needed a funnel to pour coffee (hot coffee with milk) into various-sized thermos bottles. This is well accomplished by the smooth, graduated glass, and the liquid passes through the 1/4 inch opening quickly enough. The overall benefit of using glass instead of a plastic or stainless steel funnel is a significantly improved coffee flavor.
The fact that it is heavy glass appealed to me, but the bottom is so wide that it is difficult to use on anything other than wide mouth jars without a stem, which was not what I required. It wouldn't have slipped if there had been even a smidgeon of a lip. It's gone, and I'm using my old plastic funnel again. Damn.
The glass is thick and stout. br>I've poured boiling water into it when it's been cold and it's worked fine. br>By the way, it fits perfectly into the top of a mason jar. br>Because it is stemless, you can use it to fill a vessel almost completely without dipping any glass in the solution. This appeals to me. If you're concerned about the mouth's size, it measures 107mm across on the outside.
With food containers and other items, I'm going completely glass. This was merely the next step in the process. Do some research into why glass and cast iron cookware are superior to other types of cookware. A longer part to fit in the container, as well as a holder, such as a tong or a round metal strainer wire frame, would have been ideal.
These are high-quality glassware funnels with a lovely design. They're made of thick glass, so they won't break or crack even if they're used every day. They're the Corning Pyrex brand, which is made of safe, non-toxic glass by a reputable company whose products are used all over the world. wide.
It's great, and there's no need to be concerned about the stem breaking. Safe to put in the dishwasher.
It performed flawlessly, exactly as I had anticipated.
