A customer service representative from Amazon responded quickly and replaced the items. Because of the poor packaging which damaged the product, I gave it 4 stars, but overall the product was of a reasonable quality considering the.
I have never seen a filter funnel so thin. It's all right until they break, so I guess until then! In the meantime, you can still find plain old ordinary glass filter funnels if you search for them. Thankfully, these were well packaged and intact when they arrived.
Your offer of four lab quality funnels for the price of one is greatly appreciated. With the larger and smaller funnels in the set, we're certain we can put them to another hobby use.
A funnel's tip had broken off in one of the four. Because there was a broken piece in the box, it was wrapped in paper and packed in the broken box. As long as it is still usable, I will not go through the hassle of returning it.
A labware item made from this extremely thin glass is unimaginably thin. I would put my doubts on them if they claim this is borosilicate. The material is so thin that it wouldn't be able to withstand much temperature change even if it were. It looks like the tips are crudely cut (jagged, not smooth) and they are smaller than what is shown.
Although one arrived with the top completely shattered, it had no broken pieces in the box, which means it was likely packed There are scratches on the bottoms and they are not accurately cut. This is awful.
My grandkids wanted to do some chemistry, so I was trying to find cheap funnels. There is a need for these. has a thin frame, but it will do the job. I would say that it is not sturdy enough for heavy usage. In the smallest size, very small bottles or test tubes could be filled. It should be no problem to use the large two with filter papers of 3 and 4 inches.
A durable glass material is used in the funnels. Soap and water are all that's needed to clean them. For transferring or storing hot and cold liquids, I want to use these in my kitchen. funnels are just as good as the ones I used to use in college in the Chemistry Lab!.
