When you're taking your air volume, you should keep the good/better/best meter where it is comfortable to hold when you're breathing in and out. If you use the exerciser, don't intake or exhale too powerfully, or try to exhale very weakly. Finally, keep the meter as close to the "best" level as possible. If you don't know what to do, ask your nurse. It did not work for me, so I threw it away.
Two separate tables are provided in the directions one is for men, the other for women. On the side where the age is indicated, they range from 20 to 80 and are 58" to 78" tall. As a normal guide, an 80 year old man usually drinks 1250 ml of fluid per day, while a tall 20 year old male consumes 4000 ml per day. Women range in height from 1300 m to 3500 m for the same ages and stages of their lives. The normal capacity you can reach based on your height and age is easy to determine.

Delivery arrived and it is broken, so we are not eligible to return it. This is a waste of time.
The fact that this is a medical device doesn't really make it exciting for me. Although it is not the best volumetric exerciser available, it is a great tool. It is better than the AirLife brand and better than other Voldyne models. As part of my preparation for undergoing a middle right lobectomy to remove a carcinoid lung tumor, I have been using this to increase lung capacity. Both models I mentioned above are easy to max out and I was able to do it after 3-4 pulls including the Voldyne 5000. It's hard to max out after the third pull or so and you will not be able to after that. I'm impressed with how well it works. Increased lung capacity is a result of it. The last few years I have breathed better than I ever have.
My lungs are weak because I've recently been diagnosed with "possible mild COPD. " I ordered this to help strengthen them. As you progress, you can both visually and physically feel your progress. It is easy to use and to put together. The "float" should be kept in the "best" area as you breathe in slowly through the tube. The second float will let you know where you stand on the breathing scale as soon as you've taken in all of the air. With it you can see where you "should" be at a given age according to a written chart. If your doctor has a particular goal in mind for you, it will be indicated. As far as I know, this product has improved my lung's function, so I will continue using As well, it's been dropped a few times and held up fine. Any person who wants to improve lung function should take this supplement.

My spirometer collection consists of three different instruments In addition, Hudson TriFlo II Incentive Deep Breathing Exerciser Spirometer, Cardinal Health AirLife Volumetric Incentive Spirometer and Voldyne 5000 Volumetric Exerciser are available. There are three that I prefer, but the AirLife and the Voldyne 5000 are my favorites. Neither of which can be faulted. My first day with Hudson TriFlo II was much easier than I expected because the product was much smaller than I expected, the directions were not clear, and the device was complicated. Voldyne 5000 and the AirLife both provide great service. Because of its smaller size, the AirLife is better to bring with me when traveling, while the Voldyne 5000 is a little more challenging and therefore better suited to at-home use. a Voldyne 5000 and AirLife are practically equivalent in terms of their usefulness, so I would recommend them.
I bought it for my wife after she underwent surgery and had difficulty breathing / coughing. It worked fine for a few times until she felt something sharp in the back of her throat after an inhalation. The plastic piece she coughed up came out of her mouth in a small piece. It is likely that it has come from within this device. I hope that is the only piece that escaped and that other pieces did not enter her lungs unnoticed.

In addition to being beautifully crafted, strong, and very effective, this device is also extremely Starting out with this product is tough, and you can see how much lung strength you have or do not have. When I had a lung surgery 15 years ago, I was told to exercise it to help it heal and become healthy again. There was nothing I could have done at the time. It is so great to see how the breathing exercise helps after just one or two days of doing it, I see that it immediately makes a difference. I really recommend it highly since it is strong, very user friendly, and I am thrilled with how I can incorporate it into my daily routine. I cannot say enough good things about this product. The product I bought on Amazon for my premature son is a wonderful product. My son is 7 years old, but was born very prematurely. Since he is premature, he is prone to breathing problems, and any sickness we might get will be difficult for him to handle. When I finally decided it was time to help him with his breathing, after many unsuccessful attempts of trying to teach him how and him getting pneumonia once I decided to do something, it was my turn to decide how to help him.
