On my computer, which I bought in February, the logo is all lowercase letters.
It's a food-grade plastic that's completely safe to use. It's not as tough as Lexan. Instead, like most food storage containers, it is somewhat flexible. Sure, you could use it to heat things in the microwave, but you can overheat it and deform it just like any other plastic food container. Just keep an eye out.

Although the Lexan is likely to be far more durable and nearly indestructible, this one is better for backpacking. This bottle only saves you about 3 ounces in weight (when compared to Lexan), but I carry two of them because the best way to lighten your load is to accumulate a lot of small savings rather than one big one. Yes, there are lighter alternatives (disposable Gatorade bottles) than this HDPE bottle, but I also need a bottle that can withstand a beating, and this fits the bill. I'm confident that I'll be able to carry water all the way to the end of my journey. This is a good choice because it is light weight and rugged.
I've gone through a lot of them. In the world of water bottles, this is without a doubt the undisputed champion. I've had a slew of them over the years. I still have a few from my 20-year backpacking trip. It'll work with my filter. Compared to the Lexan version, this version is lighter. No leaks. In my opinion, it is the gold standard.
Nalgenes are a fantastic product, but they're a closely guarded trade secret. Clear Nalgene bottles are half an ounce heavier, but they're essential if you're using a Steripen during the day. br>I know, neither of these facts matter unless you're a light backpacker, but to a select few people, they do.
What else is there to say about a product that is already known for its dependability and durability? Nalgene is an excellent choice.
There are a plethora of uses for this item, both while backpacking and at home. I use some for storing oils like olive, vegetable, and so on, and this one is for backpacking because it is light and durable, and I have never had any issues with any of these Nalgene bottles. I'm sure they have flaws, but I've yet to experience any. Enjoy.
I currently use four, but I'm sure I'll need more in the future.
Thank you for a great product, Nalgene.
