Questions & Answers

The curved portion of the crucible is large enough for them to grasp it, but would the tip of the jaws be enough to even grasp it?

Stainless steel and zinc alloy are used for the rotating part, and zinc alloy is used for the rest.

In a 750 degree Celsius furnace, these tongs did not melt or tarnish when used to remove crucibles at high temperatures. As well as removing crystals from molten bismuth, they are also effective at removing bismuth crystals.

This is a good way of cleaning 3D prints

In the past, I used pliers and cooking tongs for my IPA bath for resin printing, but the pliers tended to rust quickly and I had trouble squeezing the cooking tongs into the bath. It's perfect because it's far enough away from the hinge not to get rusted and thin enough so that it doesn't get cumbersome, and it's long and thin enough so that it doesn't obstruct anything.

I am working on a number 6 but not a full one

A pair of these tongs can lift and hold crucibles up to 5 kilograms. probably lift one that has a full load of aluminum in it. I do not think they are thick enough to go beyond No full load of a #6 will be picked up at this location.
