Buying a glass condenser for the first time was quite a challenge because I had no idea what to expect. Amazon handled the shipment with a lot of care and it is very fragile. I can see how it could be damaged in shipping. It was protected by both custom foam cut outs and bubble wrap before going into a box with the air bags. The condenser was suspended away from the first box, which had bubble wrap on top. There is no problem with the condenser. When using it to distill water I was fascinated to see how the water is pushed down the spiral and then pulled back into equal pressure by the created vacuum, and then the cycle just repeated over and over again. The idea of a steady stream somehow didn't make sense to me until I saw it in action. However, it will do just fine for hobby distillation since it is not designed for high volume work. Although the price is good, if I had the money to spend, I would get ground glass ends on my entire order. It is a good starter set and I recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive way to learn how it works before they decide if they need to save up for the more expensive condenser.
I doubt the quality of the product. Placing a stopper in the top of the condenser broke off a chunk of glass when gently inserted. This is a showpiece, and you should look elsewhere if you're thinking about using it for more than that.

I am amazed! It is amazing that this arrived intact since it is so delicate and extremely ornate. It came very early and it was very well packaged.
The condenser is good, but it does not have ground glass joints, so it cannot be used for every distillation.
A tiny crack has appeared on the cooling water outlet of the condenser I bought. I will keep it since it still works just fine. Without a doubt, it is a five-star product because it is just what I wanted.
In the middle of the coil, there is a small hole and in the water inlet, the coil is melted. It's not a great deal of money, but not very happy with those defects.
In the package that I received, there was a broken item.
