Using these on mason jar lids was just what I needed Mushroom cultures that are performed as injection points. I received my package in good condition and there was no smell from the port. It hasn't been a problem for me to use any of the ports. I have actually reused at least half a dozen of the lids, since I am cheap -- Once again, there were no issues. During both times, the pressure cooking was set to 15 pounds for 2 hours. If I have to replace the lids and ports, I am making new ones before I will be able to use each one for several more uses. Other than that, I don't have much else to say. They seem to work and no issues have been reported.

There is a difference between the cap diameter and the plug diameter

I really like the way they are made. Although, I ordered the wrong size. The 13mm is the size of the plug, not the cap. To make things even more complicated, I also ordered some bottles in the other size as well as 20mm bottles.
