Fits snuggly, and installs perfectly. I noticed my vacuum did not have a filter installed, so I was without one this entire time. Therefore, it appears the new vac has not been installed with one. Great price on this item.
I would buy the new model over the old one because it's more durable.

This screw retainer works well and fits the screw. In the advertising, it is not clear if these units can be used without the "Qwik-Text device" This locking filter fastening system secures the filter in place. They do fit older vacuums that use retaining nuts instead of filter plates however, they may not fit newer vacuums.
For my father, I brought this. It is one of his favorite hobbies. Therefore, he doesn't have to worry about scrubbing the old one off.
Box stores are getting less and less generous with its products, and this arrived two days later. The Ridged 3 is a perfect fit for me Vacuum with a capacity of 4 gallons.
I love it.
