Questions & Answers

Could you please tell me the width of the wide-mouth tool? Thanks! ?

None of the tools are much bigger than a 4-inch diameter. The tools have proven to be mostly useless, especially since they must be used with the hose, which has insufficient suction power to pull anything up the length of the hose.

Is it a TWO or THREE prong plug? I don't like using a 3 to 2 adapter because I have a TWO prong outlet in my car. ?

Make sure that whatever you buy does not exceed the Wattage of the power inverter/outlet in your car. The inverter in my Jeep has a 600-watt rating. It's possible that yours will be. The Wattage rating of this car vacuum has been requested from the community. Best of luck to you.

Is there a hepa filter included with this? I believe hepa is labeled in the description diagram, but I'd like to double-check. ?

Mary, please accept my apologies for the erroneous description! This hand vacuum has multiple levels of filtration rather than being a sealed HEPA vacuum.

Is it necessary to hold down the power button while using the device?

It has a switch that allows it to be turned on and off. It isn't necessary for you to hold it in order to give it power.

Negative Reviews Aren't Deserved
5/5

Ok. I've only written two reviews in my life, but I felt compelled to do so. After reading some of the negative reviews, I had my doubts about this vacuum. I liked it so much that I purchased a tape lint remover and extra rolls to go with it. When the vacuum arrived, I decided to try it out. I own a futon and purchased a black mattress cover to match the rest of my decor. My reddish brown-haired lamb retriever is my pet. The guy has a lot of hair. Given how much more hair shows up on the black cover, I believe it is more than I thought. I used my shark vacuum with the pet hair attachment, which I had previously found to be quite effective. On the black cover, not so much. I needed a roll of lint tape, so I went to the store and got one. It was more effective than the vacuum, but I used a lot of tape each time. I used the default rubber attachment when I started this thing up. I was blown away after just one swipe. I then proceeded to clean the entire area. It only took me 5 minutes to complete. It worked so well, I couldn't believe it! Suction galore! It got rid of all the hair! It was also very simple to open and empty the canister. It's not a problem. I'm not sure why some people claim that because the vents blow down, they can't use it as a regular hand vac. Both sides of mine appear to be blown out. Apart from that, it came with a variety of attachments, including a long hose, so even if the air did blow down, I don't see how the hose would cause the problems mentioned in some of the negative reviews. It was far superior to anything else I'd tried previously. I put the lint remover tape dispenser and extra roll replacements away. I'm thinking about returning them. My experience was not at all like the ones I've read in the negative reviews. This thing is amazing, at least according to my personal experience. That's why I felt compelled to go over it again.

Although it works well on pet hair, I agree with others that the vent design is inadequate
4/5

I want to like this vacuum even more because it gets pet hair out of the carpet so well (I have a rabbit). This is the third vacuum I've purchased to assist in cleaning up her pen, and the wide mouth without any tubes also helps with stray hay bits. However, the dust/debris is blown up by the vents on the sides before you can reach it. It's a major annoyance! Fortunately, I had read reviews and knew to wrap some paper around the vents to re-circulate the air. direct the air (although it was starting to feel a little warm). I was skeptical of the rave reviews, but it's powerful enough to blow things around on carpet, and it was especially bad on our hardwood floors. Someone suggested using the tube attachments to get around this, but I want to use the rubber for the hair, and when I tried a different vacuum-cleaner, hay kept getting stuck in the tube. Perhaps it's just a problem with me. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I taped cereal boxes around the vents to make them point up, which helps to keep the fur/dust from blowing away and keeping the room cool. I wish it had been better thought out from the beginning!.

I'm not interested in this

I really wanted to like this machine, but it didn't turn out that way. Because my regular vacuum is a large upright that falls over easily when using the handheld tools, I purchased it to use on my stairs. I wanted a corded handheld so that I wouldn't lose suction power over time as the battery died. First issue: br>br> To help pick up hair, the wide attachment has two fabric strips, one on each side. One of the first stair's strips had come loose. THE VERY FIRST TIME YOU USE IT! How can I expect this to last me for years if it falls apart the first time I use it? Because there was still some glue residue on the tool, things were sticking to it rather than being vacuumed up. The second problem I had could have been easily overlooked if I didn't have any other issues, but since I did, it was just another thorn in my side. The cord is awkwardly long for such a small machine, but it's just short enough to clean a flight of stairs. I had to stop halfway up the stairs to move the plug to a different outlet, but it still took a long time to wrap the cord around the handheld, and it takes up the same amount of space as the handheld itself. The third issue, in my opinion, is the most serious: after one flight of stairs, I had to wait over two hours for it to cool down before using it again. I couldn't believe how hot it had become in such a short period of time. That's a lot to be concerned about. br>br>The pro of this handheld is that it has decent suction power, but if you're not using the attachments, you'll have to hold it at the perfect angle to get the suction to work. It's a little grating. br>br>Overall, this product did not impress me, and I do not believe it is worth the price, so I returned it. Normally, I trust Bissell products, so I replaced this one with a new Bissell machine that I am much happier with. I don't have any pets, so I can't speak to how well it handles animal hair. Perhaps that's the only use for it.

I was sold on this one because of the 2 foot longer cord and attachments! I'm not sure why anyone would want to buy the Bissell Pet Hair version of this product; is it because of the color? The fact that the clear container says 'pet hair'
5/5

Both Bissell products have the same motor amp, spongy pet-cleaning pad, and a spongy pet-cleaning pad. Except for one detail that is critical to me - a hair grabber and stats The pet hair version's cord is 2 feet shorter than the regular version. SHORTER. As a result, I was able to make an informed decision. This handheld cleaner is a workhorse, and it's great for getting my dog's fur off the stairs, furniture, and other surfaces (just like the pet hair version, I'm sure). br>br>I want the longer cord. br>br> However, I never have to worry about running out of cord on the stairs or vacuuming out my van, among other things. So, unless you're allergic to extra cord length (and attachments), I believe this is a no-brainer.
