I would like you to turn the upper part counterclockwise while simultaneously turning the bottom part clockwise so that you can pull out the bottom part. You can tighten the braid by doing the opposite after the length is to your liking.

Please accept my apology and return it as it does not fit the broom sweep. In addition to being expensive, this handle is small and thin.

We may order a second for next time, since the top part came loose when mopping. I had to glue it together for it to stay together.
This mop handle is ideal because I am 6'5" tall and most domestic models are too short for me to comfortably use. There are two poles attached by a screw joint to make this handle. In order to adjust the height of the pole, the upper, hollow pole slides over the lower, thinner pole. Despite the great idea, the joint is weak, which lead to a variety of I am - The grip of the joint is not strong enough, so the height of the handle shortens while you mop because the upper part of the handle moves down the lower one as you mop. I am - It is even more unpleasant when the joint falls out of place and you are left with a handle that is not rigid but has some sort of joint between the two poles as well, which makes it even more difficult to mop effectively. The joint can be moved up into its place, but it is hard to keep it there and it falls down continuously. That is why I finally decided to discard this handle and instead buy a taller commercial one that is not only more comfortable for me but also more costly.
