Questions & Answers
If the powder was thrown in their direction and they walked through it, yes. You could also use a blacklight to see if the mice you catch are the ones who are following that path.
Possibly. I spread the glow germ across the counter after putting butter or raw chicken on it. After that, I use my Norwex microfiber to clean the area. I use it to show how well my Norwex picks 100% off the counter.
When it comes to surfaces, powder is the way to go. For skin, gel is preferable.
Greetings, and thank you for your message. If you use Glo germ powder, it will only show signs of germs on your hand, not actual or specific types of germs.

This is really cool! I bought it to use with a group of 30 homeschoolers, ranging in age from three to eighteen years old. Prior to the class, I did a lot of practice to ensure that I understood the characteristics. I discovered that simply applying powder to the hands did not work for me. With the naked eye, you could see some of the powder, which wasn't the look I was going for. Because the liquid form of GloGerm was too expensive, I mixed about a tsp of powder with 1 tbsp of lotion, mixed thoroughly, and rubbed a small amount into my hands. It just vanished! Then I touched the counter, some paper, a pencil, and so on, and using a blacklight flashlight, I discovered that the "germs" easily transferred to every surface I touched (as long as I touched firmly, not just lightly). They also made my hands look like they were glowing! Even though I was standing in daylight in my house, the "germs" were illuminated and visible, but visibility is obviously improved in a darkened room. Liquid soaps are more effective than bar soap at removing dirt. Scrub for at least 20 seconds all around before rinsing thoroughly under running water. It won't come off as well if you don't wash it for long enough. This is a great way to learn how to wash your hands properly. The kids smeared it all over their hands the next day, looked at it under the blacklight, and then washed their hands with no instructions. Even after the first washing, many people still had "germs" on their hands. They then traced their hands and shaded the problem areas where they should concentrate when washing their hands, and then washed their hands again, this time with instruction, and all of their hands came out clean. Very effective! My kids remember this object lesson and still wash their hands properly! I would strongly suggest it. There is a significant amount of powder in this. We used it for 30 children and had some made-to-measure items on hand. They only used about a quarter of an inch of the powder in the container and had lotion left over to send home with them (to show their dads)!.
We used this to show how effective our Norwex cloths are at removing all germs from the counter.
I use this product to demonstrate how much debris is left behind after using a Lysol wipe, and then how Norwex cleans it up!.
For a few years, I had a rodent problem in my house that even the best exterminators couldn't solve. The problem is that in a multi-family structure, you can't find out how they get in without tearing down all four units, and I only own one of them. We used this around non-trapped food and were able to follow the pests' footsteps back to the point of entry. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SUCH AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT! I realize this isn't the intended use for this, but I got the idea after watching a YouTube video where someone used it to track germs on children.
I have enough for more classes because a little goes a long way. I used it on ten students in the classroom. I also sprinkled it on the fruit we were injecting to demonstrate sterile fields and microorganisms on skin, as well as how they travel.
This powder is ideal for demonstrating germs. My only piece of advice is to use as little as possible because it spreads like wildfire. Just make sure to clean up all surfaces near the area where you'll be using it to make sure you've done everything.
The demonstrations I've given with this powder have received excellent feedback. It shows how effective my microfiber cloths are at cleaning a counter. I used it in conjunction with the Escolite UV Flashlight Black Light.
It's incredible how effective it is in demonstrating how invisible germs can be, as well as how easily they can spread. I was able to demonstrate to my children how many surfaces they unknowingly touch without realizing by simply applying a small amount to their hands. To demonstrate how the germs spread, I used a Gearlight S100 UV flashlight. When the flashlight was pointed at the glo germ, it turned into a bright neon light. This is an excellent way to teach children or employees about how easily germs can spread if proper cleaning procedures are not followed.
