While the product does what it claims to do, the company selling it is so slimy that I can only give it one star. It is not stated anywhere in the description where it is likely to be seen that the company selling the unit only claims to rent you the dispenser and that it forbids you from using towels other than those it sells. Unless you read the product's detailed description (which I'm guessing many people, including myself, don't), you won't know until it arrives and you load it and see a sticker claiming this. I'm guessing the restriction isn't valid under New York law, but it still bothers me, and I'm surprised Amazon allows them to claim to rent merchandise without being completely transparent.
This is a lovely bathroom accessory that, at first, did an excellent job of dispensing towels in my guest bathroom. However, it appears that the spring has weakened and is no longer able to forcefully dispense the towels as it once did, just over eight months after purchase. I heard a "pop" sound after I removed the towels and lowered the dispenser carriage to its lowest point. After removing the dispenser top, I noticed that a thin piece of plastic that held the spring-loaded mechanism had snapped. In the top carriage, the dispenser base was loaded. When the top piece is removed, the towel platform appears to be supported by a very thin spring that holds the towels in place. I believe that, as a result of the towels, this spring has lost its tension and is no longer as effective. It's a pity, because this is a lovely piece and the only countertop dispensing system of its kind I've come across. Tork's internal components, particularly the spring, need to be beefed up if they want to have a top-tier product. On their hands, they have a top-notch product.
Towel holder is stunning. I didn't have to tape it down, and there were very few water spots. My issue is that the towel holder I used in my powder room was a commercial towel holder. The spring arrived in three months, despite the fact that it was covered by a one-year warranty and Amazon had requested a return label from the seller, which was refused. The product is unreliable.
My husband has a habit of squandering paper towels: He rips off about 20 sheets for a job that only requires one or two, and instead of using the towel I keep for clean hands to avoid paper towel waste, he ignores it almost every time he comes close to water. I frequently use Viva pop-up paper towels to control his excessive paper towel consumption (since they're not attached to each other, he can't just pull them apart), but I despise the loud boxes they come in. I know it says Tork towels only, but the commercial folded towels are much rougher in texture than the Viva or Kleenex folded towels available in stores. All I have to do is open the towel box from the side, grab a handful of towels, and center them inside the dispenser before pressing down evenly. Even though they have a little extra room on each side, the mechanism inside keeps them in place, and I've never had an issue with them getting messed up or not unfolding. I also entertain frequently, and this was fantastic to have out near where everyone was pouring drinks in the kitchen at my most recent party. It looks so much nicer than an unsightly roll of paper towels, and any drips were quickly wiped up. Stainless steel or white models, rather than black, are also highly recommended. Both of those colors are much easier to clean and don't show smudges or finger prints nearly as much. I'm completely enamored with this dispenser. It was well worth the money.
I bought Tork MB 576 paper towels to go with it, but they didn't fit. This holder can only hold towels that are 9" long by 3" wide. The Tork towels are 10" x 3" wide and 5" wide. 5”. br>When purchasing a paper towel, make sure to check the dimensions. br>It's far too expensive to not even include the towels they recommend. Returned!.
It isn't always the case that a towel appears. On the inside, there is a problem with the spring. It's possible that the spring is rusted or misaligned, but I'm always having trouble with it and have to reach inside to get a towel. It defeats the purpose of having a towel rise to the surface. br>This is a revised version of the original review. After experiencing issues with the paper popping up, I decided to order Tork paper. I bought Tork's soft towels and discovered that the first batch I used fit perfectly. So, if you're having trouble getting the spring to pop up, I recommend trying the Tork paper.
Hand towel dispensers have always been a source of irritation for me. When you go to pull one, they usually tear the dang towel. Tork came into my life after the soup kitchen where I volunteer started using them. I'm usually a jerk when it comes to salespeople and commercials, but this is the best dispenser/towels I've ever seen. The towels are less expensive than paper towels and are soft enough to use for blowing your nose. We were so impressed that we purchased some for our home and decided to write a review.
br>br>After buying a box of trifold paper towels, I realized I couldn't just spread them out on the counter. As a result of the safety guidelines for Cov- The box could not be returned to Costco because it was 19 years old. As a result, I made the decision to go through with the purchase. br>br>I came across this countertop holder and decided to try my luck again. Yes, I'm spending more money in order to save money. br>br>This trifold paper towel countertop holder is fantastic! It has a nice appearance, is easy to fill, and has adhesive on the bottom to keep it from slipping. br>br>In the long run, I'll save money- Since the cost of a triathlon is so high, it's a good idea to get It is less expensive to fold a sheet. In addition, since the tri-fold has been installed, the family uses fewer sheets. The folds are thinner than the paper towels on a roll and come out one at a time. br>br>I'm thinking about getting more of these holders for the kitchen and other bathrooms, but the cost is more than I'm willing to pay.
