This product has been in my possession for nearly a year. I work as a professional cleaner and restorer of outdoor furniture and spaces. This product worked well for me when I first started using it. A before and after of a 20-year-old set can be seen in the photo above. Every month, I visit this property, and I was there just the other day, on February 24th. Even after all these years, the furniture continues to look great. The formula I've been getting for the last few months is NOT holding up. Some pieces are in full sun, while others are shaded, but everything looks great and is surviving the Arizona desert. Every month, I have to reapply my more recent restos. So any changes to the formula in the last six months have been a failure. I have a year's worth of projects that I have not reapplied for. There's more to the project than just using this. It needs to be completely clean and dry, with as much oxidation as possible removed. Despite the fact that I had done my homework ahead of time. This product is no longer working, so I'm looking for a replacement or reverting to older, more difficult-to-use, but fail-safe options. I understand that ingredients are hard to come by, and that many products must change their formulations. I'm hoping that this product will return to its former glory sooner rather than later. Because it is currently only a temporary fix that will only last until it is wet for the first time.
I'm not usually one for writing reviews, but I believe that taking the time to do so today will encourage others to try this fantastic product. My outdoor furniture, which we bought 20 years ago, has a baked-on finish that is guaranteed for life. For the last 5 years, I've tried a variety of products to restore the color, but none of them have worked. I placed an order for the Star brite Patio. I bought the Outdoor Furniture Protectant 32 oz Spray a few weeks ago and used it. We couldn't believe how well it restored our furniture to its original state; I only wish I had taken before and after photos.
It has a wonderful scent that reminds me of a coconut lime suntan lotion. However, neither before nor after, I noticed any difference. My chairs are a light beige color; perhaps a darker color would make a difference. I'm not going to buy it again. Their outdoor furniture cleaner, on the other hand, received five stars from me. br>I'd like to make a change to my previous assessment. Although I didn't notice a significant difference, the arms of my chairs were much smoother than the arms of my untreated chair when I sat down and felt them. The chairs that had not been treated felt rough and chalky, whereas the chairs that had been treated felt silky smooth. A little goes a long way with this product. In the future, I'll buy from you again.
Although I was disappointed with the price per bottle because I had a lot of patio furniture to protect, it was extremely easy to apply once it arrived, even though all of my patio furniture is plastic wicker. br>br>It has a pleasant scent (similar to sunscreen), and I was surprised at how many pieces I was able to protect (24!). ) using only one bottle 1 dining table with a 60-inch diameter, 10 chairs, and a 7-foot-long sofa 2 coffee tables, 1 sectional sofa, 1 love seat, 1 gas fire pit There are two end tables. Despite this, the bottle is still more than a third full. It's a quick and low-cost investment that will save you money in the long run by preventing you from having to replace your patio furniture due to weather exposure.
As long as it isn't exposed to water, it does an "ok" job of improving the appearance of plastics and other materials. If water gets on it, it washes right off and returns to its original state before you wasted your time on it. It's a real bummer to realize that after all the effort you put into making it look nice and "protecting" it, a little water will wash it all away. I've tried several different things to see if I can get any real use out of this product, and the only way I've found it to last a "little" longer is to apply it to plastic furniture and then leave it out in the hot summer sun for several days. This is the only way I've found to keep it from completely washing away after contact with water, but it still comes off after a couple of rains and looks old and faded. The first photo of the single chair shows how a small amount of water got on it while watering plants, and how it washed completely off after being treated for about 24 hours. The photo with the two chairs depicts how they appear outside after receiving a mid-season makeover. After sitting in the sun for several days, it rained on the third day of summer. After a few more showers, the chairs have reverted to their previous state of being worn and faded. Cleaning and applying the product takes longer than the actual duration of the product. br>However, if your furniture is never wet, this material might work for you. However, I believe that an "OUTDOOR PROTECTANT" should be waterproof/water-resistant. To a certain extent, resistant I used this stuff on another plastic outdoor box that I use to store swimming pool equipment. It sat for a few days and looked fine until I was working on the pool and accidentally touched it with a wet hand, causing the "protectant" to peel right off. Because the substance washes right off with water, I now have a treated box with a dull hand print.
This was purchased to maintain the condition of some new plastic furniture - It was discovered that it can also be used on metal. br>The plastic furniture looks great and should be kept in good condition. br>The metal furniture I used it on was old and had been battered by the elements. Following a single application - The metal furniture appears to have never been used before. Awesome! This is something I'm going to use on all of my patio furniture. Thank you very much.
This gave my patio furniture a new lease on life. I experimented with it on a variety of surfaces - Metal, plastic bases, and resin wicker Each piece was presented in a neat and tidy manner. I wish I had known about this when I first purchased my outdoor furniture because it appears to extend the life of the furniture, bases, and other components. I purchased four bottles because I have a lot of outdoor furniture. I'm only on my second bottle, and I've already used it a few times on each item outside. A small amount of something goes a long way. It can't be returned, either. To begin, purchase one bottle.
I quickly applied it to my 5-year-old patio furniture, which had spent the entire year outside, and the results are incredible! br>On the left, a coffee table with the product, and on the right, another coffee table with the product.
