Questions & Answers

Is this spray effective at removing static electricity shocks from the soles of shoes?

The Static Sentry isn't a long-lasting coating or product. Static charges will be reduced to zero volts by the residue. Rubber is insulative, so charges build up if your soles are made of it. Static Sentry may be able to remove a charge, but because dirt is an insulator, it may not be effective for long. Furthermore, antidepressants Because stats are slick, I don't think this product should be used on the bottoms of shoes. To reduce static buildup, the best thing to do is either switch to leather soles or look into ways to mitigate static in our environment. Spraying Static Sentry on upholstery, for example, will reduce the amount of charge produced when you slide out of your chair.

Is this a one-time use spray? It'll go on a plastic enclosure that will be handled frequently. Thanks?

This is a topical anti-fungal cream. stat. It isn't like paint in that it isn't a protective layer. It's difficult to get rid of friction; Friction and moisture, on the other hand, will wear it down over time. This product is similar to soap on a bathroom tile; you can move it around with your finger, but it will be removed by water and scrubbing. Water alone will dilute the product to the point where it is no longer detectable.

Would this product adhere to the inside of PVC pipe in a dust collection system to dissipate static electricity?

PVC and most other materials are compatible with the Staticide Static Sentry. This product works by forming an anti-bacterial barrier on the skin. A surfactant (similar to hair conditioner) is used to remove static. I've used it on home circulation returns, and it reduces dust attraction, keeping them cleaner for longer. Depending on the dust collection system, the benefits may be negated by excessive dust. If this is a dust collector for woodworking, for example, and there is a lot of dust being sucked through the tube, the product may not be as effective as it would be with natural air-flow. Because it's covered in debris, it's causing dust to fly. In that case, I'd apply it to the tube's outside to help reduce charges that could spark. br>br>The only other thing to consider is that the solvent emits an odor. If you use it in a well-designed environment, it will be more effective. You should be fine if you keep it in a well-ventilated area. The odor dissipates once the product has dried (which takes only a few minutes).

Is it safe to use this spray on acrylic sheets for picture framing without risking damage to the artwork?

Isopropyl alcohol makes up the majority of this product. When the IPA has evaporated, an anti-bacterial agent is released. There is a residue of static electricity left behind. The anti- Stat is a surfactant that is similar to the one found in hair conditioner. This is the mechanism that causes static to decay and is used to prevent it. It should be fine on the outside of the acrylic sheet, but putting it on the inside would be like putting hair conditioner on the art, and if there is a mat board, the art should not touch the acrylic.

It's efficient and does exactly what it says it will

This is what I used on my truck. At first, I only tried it on one seat to see how good it was and if it had any flaws. It worked well at reducing static and left no visible or sticky residue behind. So I sprayed all of the other seats with it yesterday.

The issue has been resolved

maybe? It's been a week and the carpeting hasn't had any static shock! The strong chemical odor is a disadvantage. For several hours, you'll need to leave the area.
