Corning glass pans will have their finish dulled by them. Over the course of a year, it was used on a daily basis. So, yes, from a technical standpoint. If you scrub the sinks daily for several years, the shine will dull. Nobody (grandchildren) will live long enough to wear off the enamel.
Heavy duty is not recommended for nonstick cookware, but for everything else that needs a strong pad, this is the one to use.
There are no chemicals or odors, just scrubbing fibers. Long- long-lasting, washable, and re-usable usable. I purchased a package a few years ago and am currently on my third.

I bought these scrub pads based on the seller's description, but they weren't "heavy duty" in terms of everyday use. They're made to withstand the rigors of the industrial environment. I can't use these to clean my kitchen's commercial-grade sink or any of my commercial-grade pots and pans that I bought at a store. I used to own a business, and I have some real industrial-grade commercial-grade pots that I can clean with these pads. They can also be used to sand wood and remove paint from surfaces that need to be repainted. Refinishing or repainting the furniture is an option. Because of the lack of accurate representation, I have only given the product three stars. I would not use these to scrub down tile in a house or scrub the grout because it actually wears the grout down and scratches my tile.
What can I add to what has already been said in the other reviews? I don't have much to add to the total, but I'll do so anyway. I bought these after hearing from Chef Keller that scour pads are great for peeling vegetables with minimal waste and while keeping the produce's original shape. I purchased these large ones and simply cut them in half width-wise. I now have 40 of them, which should last me for a long time unless I decide to repurpose some for other purposes as well. That works out to about 35 cents per person, a significant savings over the $1. Buy these and don't look back because they are "Amazon's Choice. ".
I start seed with scouring pads. I cut a pad to fit the inside bottom of a tofu tub, sprinkle seeds on the pad's surface, and wet the pad just enough to keep the seeds moist but not soaked. Then cover with Saran wrap and heat to 80 degrees Fahrenheit while waiting for the seeds to sprout. br>br>How many scouring pad reviews will tell you how to start seeds? It is a good deal. I clean my dishes with Scotch Brite pads. The newer ones are ideal for pots and pans, and as they soften, they'll be ideal for dishes, silverware, and glasses as well. They don't seem to hold onto bacteria like sponges do, and they can withstand multiple trips through the dishwasher or even just pouring scalding water over them (perfect for draining pasta). They don't last nearly as long as they used to. Cut the time it takes to shred in half.
One is always in our kitchen sink, one is in each of our bathrooms, and one is ready to scrub our shower/bath tub. They make getting gunk and grime off of dishes, counter tops, sinks, around faucets, in drains, and other surfaces a breeze, and these ones last far longer than off-brand pads we've used in the past. br>br>I believe knockoffs are acceptable in some cases, but not with Scotchbrite Pads. They're also quite large, so cutting them in half or thirds will extend their life even further.
I've been using these since they first came out, but they're pricey if you only buy the small ones at the store. I buy them in bulk and then cut them into eighths one at a time. I keep the smaller ones in a drawer close to the sink, stacked neatly. A small one is ideal for scrubbing a pot or cleaning up a kitchen mess. I make do with a half-cup of coffee. I use a small one for scrubbing the grill on my smoker outside, and a large one on occasion for a particularly large job. Buying them this way saves me a lot of money, and they last a long time before I need to reorder.
They'll last me a long time, and since I use scotch pads to hand-wash my dishes, clean my kitchen and bathroom sinks and counters, and clean the bathtub, they'll come in handy.
For a long time, Brite has been a favorite of mine. They're my "go-to" source of information. We now have a sufficient supply. To use in my kitchen, I cut each pad into quarters. These are used by my husband to clean things outside. Both of us are content.
