Under cold water, it becomes a little harder, but not enough for my scrubbing needs. As a scrubbing sponge, it's adequate, but nothing special when compared to other soft sponges available.
This is the original scrub daddy, and unlike a regular sponge, it does not get stinky for a long time. They only need to be thrown on the top rack of the dishwasher every now and then to keep them in good condition. The multicolored ones don't last as long and begin to stink much sooner, despite the fact that even the dishwasher can't get rid of the smell.
Because I only use it to clean dishes and kitchen counters, I'm not sure. According to the package, it can be used on cabinets, hardware, floors, walls, baseboards, dishes, refrigerators, produce, counters, and cutting boards in the home. Bathroom fixtures, deck railings, and outdoor lawn furniture can all be made out of it. So, I believe you could use it on a fish tank glass, but you should double-check with the product's manufacturer.

It doesn't seem to last as long as it used to, and it doesn't seem to firm up as quickly. I'm finding that I'm tossing them in a month instead of months like I used to. And the quality of the material appears to have deteriorated, and not in a good way. I'm a fan once more, and I've shared it with my family and friends, but this time it's different. I am dissatisfied with them and would not recommend them to anyone.
I saw this on Shark Tank and rushed out to get some for myself, hoping it would aid me in my kitchen cleaning duties. I'm not sure if it would help or not because I tossed them all in the trash. I was getting a headache from the chemical smell. I tried leaving them out in the sun for three days in the hopes that the sun would kill the smell, but it didn't work. This kind of chemical odor was familiar to me, and neither the sun nor washing could remove it. I didn't want to go through the trouble of repacking and re-inserting everything. Return it to Amazon as soon as possible. I couldn't take another second of the stench. I can't imagine anyone with a chemical sensitivity having these sponges in their kitchen, especially if children are present.
I've been using these products since they first became available. They make cleaning difficult dishes (and other items) a breeze, and I appreciate that they don't scratch. I used to think they didn't last as long as they used to, but then I realized I use them for a lot more things than I used to. I've also noticed that the price has increased over time, but that's to be expected in this crazy country/world of economics we live in, and I can't take away any stars for it.

Warm water makes it soft and spongy, while cold water makes it firm. The texture is fantastic, and I love that I can insert my fingers into the eyes for a secure grip on the sponge. The first issue is: Instead of sending me the scrub daddy, they sent me the scrub mommy. br>Problem number two is this: Regardless, I used them because I figured: "why not? "Well, after less than a week of use, the pink side of scrub mommy is falling apart? I'm not sure what's going on here, but could it be that I got a bad one? br>br>Because I don't have a dishwasher and do a lot of dishes, I really wanted to like these. I was let down.
