Thank you for deciding to work with Rubbermaid Commercial. The Rubbermaid Commercial Products Heavy Duty Adaptable Utility Cart, Black, Medium has approximately 25" of space between the shelves, which is our goal in providing the best quality and service to our customers.
It's made of a tough plastic that will last for a long time. The flip-up table is made of a less durable plastic, but it is far from being flimsy. The cart as a whole was far more durable and well-built than I had expected. For my purposes, I am very pleased with it.
Rods are not included with the cart, but they can be threaded through holes in the uprights using pipe or conduit.

This cart is fantastic; I purchased the small and it is much larger than I anticipated. It would have been too big if I had purchased the larger one. This one is more difficult to load/unload into a truck bed than others I've used; if it were a large one, I'd probably avoid unloading it if I didn't think I'd use it for a long time. br>br>Mine was missing the bolts that secure the handle to the cart; I looked everywhere to make sure I hadn't missed them, and then I found bolts I had laying around to attach the handle; the ones I had br>br>The wheels aren't great, so I'll probably go out and get some new ones. In congested areas, this cart is difficult to maneuver. br>br>The notch for cutting conduit or whatever else works great, and it's nice to have a setup that makes using your clamp so simple. br>br>For a shaker, the cup holder is too small. br>br>The little hanger things that look like they're for an extension cord or whatever are too small for any cord I'd carry, but these hangers will hold a 2 or 5 foot ladder standing, or a larger ladder sideways with some effort, which is convenient if you have to drive a lot of stuff into a building with an elevator or something.
br>Is Rubbermaid the Yeti coolers of the work cart world? br>I'm not happy with the price; it's absurdly high for what it is.
My original review was as follows; they have since improved it. So far, it's been great. I like the adjustable handle because it means I don't have to stoop to push the cart and my feet don't keep slamming into it. br>br>I'm having trouble copying and pasting my first response to rubbermade. It was in their response that I stated that the bolts or whatever holds the handles on the cart were missing. "The manufacturer's defects are covered by a one-year warranty from Rubbermaid Commercial Products. We can usually figure out what's wrong with your product by looking at an image of it, but we don't have replacement parts for the cart. " What kind of warranty doesn't cover parts? How did they construct it without using any components? I tossed the box, assuming they'd send the missing parts, but I guess I should have waited because it appears I'll have to disassemble it and return it to Amazon. I can't recommend this product with such poor customer service in good conscience.
Be wary of promotional images that may mislead you. The finished product looks nothing like the manufacturer's official photos. They go to the trouble of depicting this cart as having a clean flat color finish when it actually has a dirty-looking finish. Look for a splash. When I inquired about the inconsistency on their promotional material, I received no response from the manufacturer.
Fast shipping and a great cart. The only issue, as with others on this forum, is that there are no bolts for attaching the handle. br>I went to Lowes and bought two 5/16" X 2-inch screws. 2 @ 5/16" fender washersbr> (for outside of handle pivot),br> 1/2" hex head bolts (I went with stainless),br> )br>2 regular 5/16" washers (fenders don't fit on the inside of the handle pivot),br>And two 5/16" stop nuts with nylon inserts (to keep them from coming loose. ) The handle was perfectly bolted on. br>I leave the wheels screwed to the bottom platform and remove the eight screws that hold the uprights to the platforms for transport. That way, it takes up very little space. I ordered a small and it fits perfectly; it's quite tall. That will be very helpful to my back.
I was concerned that the cart would not be sturdy enough, but it is excellent. The only issue is that it only came with screws to secure the legs and casters, but no way to secure the handle. We are currently working on a replacement, but this is an important feature.
It's also of excellent quality. It included all of the required hardware. It would be ideal if all of the casters rotated at the same time. There's plenty of storage space for tools and spare parts.
Tool slots, sturdy construction, and a folding writing surface are all great features. This is a fantastic cart; I do low voltage cabling and it's ideal for wheeling around office buildings because it's not too wide or heavy. All of our tools, connectors, plans, and other items are kept in this folder. It appeals to me.
