The carpet shampoo in this bottle is very good. As long as you clean normally with a Bissell cleaner, it will do a good job. I learned that using too much shampoo on carpet leads to more stains, which I also learned as a former commercial carpet cleaner with a major cleaning company. Shampoo doesn't preserve carpet fibers for long, so don't overdo it so the carpet looks great for just a day before it gets dirty. As part of our regular maintenance program, we cleaned the carpets in the headquarters of a Fortune 500 company on a monthly basis, generally with hot water, residual shampoo from previous applications of shampoo, and spot applications of cleaning fluid to specially dirty areas to make sure they were sparkling Only a very slight amount of shampoo should be used. It's best to use shampoo every third or fourth cleaning instead of every other (once a year at most), and to only spot clean dirty areas with hand-sprayed shampoo or other cleaner between shampooed If you must use hot water, do so. Although the smell of the product has somewhat lingered, it still smells very fresh not floral or strong at all. As far as I can tell, no other product works as well as this one. These are so good! I'm amazed at how well they work! This is an amazing product, I will buy more when I run out. The 2 X cleaner worked well for me. Although it looked dirty, the rug was not as clean as it should have been. It cleaned a rug I washed last week with this stuff right here. By the amount of dirt it picked up, you might have thought that I hadn't cleaned anything at all. My current method of processing is the Green Machine. Unless they come up with a better method, this is what I'll continue to.

It's been a long time since I used Bissell Professional, but I thought I'd give this a try since the formula is more advanced. Yes, that's all right. I'm fine with it.
