The inner diameter is slightly larger than the outer diameter, but it appears to be flexible. As the brass connections reduce the inner diameter of the hose, I had to oversize it by 1/2 inch to achieve a full flow system. It was too much of a restriction to use the 3/8 hose and I returned it. connector on the 1/2 hose has a diameter of just over 3/8 inches on the inside. There are full flow hoses, but they don't seem to have a very good reputation.
Since I have to complete this project by today, I do not have the time to send it back and reorder. Trying to send it back makes me nervous that they will send me the same mislabeled hose that they sent me originally. For it to work, I'll need to buy fittings for $15. Other than that, the hose appears to be in good shape.
They must not have cared enough about it. There's only time to tell if it will last or if it will rupture at 150 psi. The end of the wire appears to have not even been looked at once it was crimped. Shipping this hose in such a state was never a good idea. If you're looking for hoses in the same price range there are plenty of sellers who sell them.
Rubber used on this hose is thick and very durable, as well as fittings that do not leak. The pressure in my compressor dropped by only about 5 psi over a one week period after I pumped it up to 110 psi. My old cast iron pipe fittings may have also been responsible for this drop, but in any event it was a very minimal pressure drop. The product is excellent, the price is a bit steep, but it is.

No leak occurs in this product. I love it!. There's a rubber air hose attached to it. What's not to like? I ordered this one because it was exactly the right length for my needs. In my opinion, it's a definite bonus to have it made in the USA.
