Selected User Reviews For Goodyear 50' x 3/8" Rubber Air Hose Yellow 250 Psi
There is only one word to describe this. I am disappointed. I ordered the Goodyear brand air hose since I thought I would be able to trust it would still be quality, but that is not the case. Having used this product for about a month in my home shop, I already see one end of the hose has separated from the fitting crimped onto it, causing a bubble to appear there. Though the rubber has held the pressure for a while, it still feels very wet right now and I am afraid I will pop it at any moment as long as I I must say it is a shame since otherwise, this was a decent hose that was comfortable to use and easy to coil up. Though, at this rate, I'd rather just stick with harbor freight. During the last test a pressure rating of 60 was exceeded. I never let the water flow past 100 PSI through the regulator threaded into the hose, even though the hose is rated for 250 PSI.
It is important that you get a warranty on this product since I did not get one two (2) months before this happened and I tried to get some direction on the matter before the warranty window closed.
Taking the description at face value Supported by an industry leader Our 10 year guarantee is the best in the industry. " There is no truth to this. I used this hose for less than a year with only very light and occasional use before the air bubble developed around 10 feet from the end. There may have been a tear in the reinforcing material of the jacket that caused the rubber shell to The hose was not damaged or kinked as a result of this. In the event of hoses or cords that fall apart, I always roll them up properly. In the beginning, I contacted Amazon, which directed me to get in touch with After that, I called Goodyear and got a run-down of how to fix it It took me a while to get anyone to respond to my email from the customer support department who directed me to Amazon (the seller). The hose is actually a Goodyear trademarked product (trademark is licensed), and it is not manufactured by the company. Having made the same mistake twice, I finally managed to get the Amazon customer support rep to send me a refund for my However, regarding my claims that I did not receive the product as described (10 year guarantee), I was obstinate. Considering it only took us at least 30 minutes on the phone to complete this, this is hardly worth the time. The hoses I bought on Amazon in 2012 are still in great condition after a lot of heavy use. I have two similar yellow air hoses like that that I bought in 2012.
The hose is of high quality. While there are cheaper models available, don't let your money go to waste. It pays to spend extra cash now so that you don't have to deal with frustration Cold weather conditions do not affect the flexibility of this hose (nothing is more annoying than trying to stretch your hose to fill up your tire when it's cold outside but it simply won't budge). Despite the good quality and solid attachment of the connectors, though you may wish to include a quick disconnect. A disconnect occurs. I still don't have problems with leaks, punctures, blowouts after using the reel for several years. I haven't noticed any significant drop in pressure at the hose ends as a result of high friction between the hose and the reel. It is highly recommended, all in all.
The three that have been tested so far are great. Another bubble has formed around the crimp of the 4th one. It is not very common to use them since they hang from the roof. It is uncommon for my techs to use hydraulic hoses, and most of them use electric impact tools.
I was able to get a harbor freight hose reel with cheap Chinese hose that lasted about 4 or 5 years before it developed cracks especially where the fitting was crimped. Having replaced the yellow Goodyear 3/8 hose with the yellow one, I am pleased with the results. It has been 5 years and it still looks The hose reel works extremely well with the Flexibrand. It is much more flexible than the HF brand. In the near future, I plan to purchase a new sprayer dedicated solely to HVLP An overall score of 5 This is a 5 star rating, made in the USA as well.
This one is still perfectly working. It has always been dragged around on the ground, bent, stepped on, etc. the 50' made sense at this point. As far as I can tell, it appears to be the same product. The hose is great and I highly recommend it. I can only think of one con the old one came with a protective black sleeve on each side, which covered the crimped area. The ones I like are still there, but I would like them to remain.
The length of the rope is 5'. It came to my attention that- We called up 50' Air Hose today, and it just didn't look like it was going to work. It didn't appear that there were enough coils to make 50 feet. This is my second time On both my order and the cardboard label around the hose, 3/8" x 50' was printed. I have no problem with that. In order to measure it with a tape measure, I opened the hose, uncoiled it and measured it 25' from the corner to the corner. Yes, indeed! The 5' marker is at the tip of the finger I tip you! I could not tell if 5' is not a big deal. However, more than half of it is missing There is no way I can keep If the replacement 50' hose is the same length as it was, I will repeat this procedure again and repeat it over and over again until a truly 50' hose is identified My doorstep is adorned with a footer. In addition to the Goodyear name, I paid extra In that case, I will update this rating accordingly. If not, I hope it was just a mistake. Get out your tape measure if you haven't already. In conclusion, once again I feel quite satisfied with the service I received from Amazon and Michigan Industrial Tools. Initially, I had given this hose a score of 1 Despite the mislabeling, I was going to give it a 4-star rating, but I'm now giving it a 5-star My 4 stars are based on the quality of the product and the support I received. I received numerous emails with my Amazon RMA number and an order was automatically placed for a replacement hose to be shipped. Earlier this morning, UPS delivered to me the replacement hose for my hose that was "short. ". I have in fact bought a 50' air hose, so I've made my peace with this. I would like to commend Melissa and Holly at Michigan Industrial Tools for their assistance and support. Congratulations to the ladies on an excellent job! I was amazed how attentive and helpful they were.
In regard to replacing the air hose, they were fantastic. Even with extreme cold, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the product. The e-book had been sitting in the sleet, rain, and 28-degree weather for several hours Today we are experiencing a 30° F temperature here in Louisiana. An end with 1/4" MNPT - Fittings are of good quality and are attached securely. With a reasonable amount of care, I should be able to get many years of service from this hose. Anyone who is looking for a good quality air hose should definitely try this one out.
