Questions & Answers
No, as with most specifications, this is the break point and is based on laboratory conditions. I wouldn't recommend using more than 350% on a regular basis. This is a perishable, natural product that will eventually fail if not replaced at the first sign of wear.
I don't think 3/16" ID is large enough for a brake line, and I'm not sure if it's ozone resistant. You'll need ozone-resistant, automotive-grade tubing.

Daisy P51 tubing is more powerful and durable, and the replacements are the same. I can't speak to long-term (sun) cracking at this time. br>br>Daisy tubing failed at the metal fork's edge repeatedly. I'm attempting to make a collar (two-piece). Shrink tubing (photos) in a graduated layer to reinforce for focal, extreme recoil expansion. It will, I believe, be beneficial. Tape made of vinyl or silicone is less likely to work. The first photo (sorry for the blurry focus) shows how the tubing within this collar narrows during the draw.
I bought this size because I measured the sling rubber I'm replacing, but I don't believe it's the same size. This appears to be a weaker version. Next time, I'd size up, but I haven't installed it yet, so I can't comment on durability.
Last week, I made a polespear band that turned out to be too long once I got in the water. Tonight, I made two much shorter bands and put them through their paces. On the third pull, the first one completely broke apart on me. I looked at the second band on the first and second pulls and noticed that it was splitting in a few places. I then looked at the band I was in this past weekend, and they, too, had announced their disbandment. I ended up making bands out of the 408 rubbers, which were advertised for speargun use and passed the dry stretch test with flying colors, and they're about the same length as the 606 rubbers. br>br>I'm not a physically powerful individual. It's been about a year since I started spearfishing. There's no reason why these bands should fall apart so quickly.
I needed this product to keep our doggie seat cover in place on my Polaris Ranger, and it worked perfectly.
I wasn't sure what size I needed for my old Hawaiian Sling pole spear straps, but this turned out to be the perfect match. It arrived quickly as well.
I spent extra time calculating the lengths of a slingshot and carefully putting it together. The thrust is both potent and precise.
Material is strong and durable. This tubing is both durable and cost-effective, so if you shoot a lot, this is the tubing for you. It's only for adults or extremely strong children.
Wishing the spearit group the best of luck. This was purchased to be used with slingbows. I wish this was available in 7/16 od x 3/16 id x 1/8 w from the spearit group.
