4" LIGHTPROOF DUCTING - This aluminum 4 inch duct was designed specifically for your Grow Room needs. The ducting is protected from light leaks by a thick layer of black PVC. This flexible duct is compatible with 4" diameter hooded lights, exhaust and intake fans, and carbon filters.

4 LAYER PROTECTION- Our 4 inch duct hose prevents rips, pinholes, and leaks in your ventilation system. Our ducting is constructed with two layers of aluminum foil, a layer of PET, and a steel wire helix to maintain its shape beneath the White PVC layer.

VERSATILE It'll fit on your duct fan, vent exhaust, carbon filter, or light reflector with ease. A pair of 4 Inch Clamps are included to make installation a breeze.

How well would this hold up in a sawdust collection system as a suction hose? I'm not sure if it would be able to withstand collapsing. ?

It's not good; it'll want to collapse; it's designed for low-pressure environments.

Please check to see if the white coating is flame resistant (preferably the seller). ?

I'm not the seller, but I believe the white coating is made of a vinyl-like material that isn't flame resistant. It should be able to withstand some heat, such as that generated by a dryer vent, but not direct flame.

Is it possible to use this as a downspout extender outside?

No, it is not possible. It's made of foil and only serves as a means of air transfer.

Is it possible to use this with a gas heater?

I believe you'll need a metal or tinfoil-like material. However, I used it on an old Kenmore dryer that got extremely hot and had no problems with it. However, because it is gas and contains an actual flame, I would be hesitant to use it.

It came with two clamps, but it was only 18 feet long. I had to replace a 25-foot hose. I had to purchase a coupling and repurpose 7 feet of old hose. The small pinholes in the hose material are used to drain any moisture that may have accumulated inside the hose.

It feels nice and sturdy and thick. It didn't come with the pipe clamps, but that's not a big deal because the material is nicer than I expected, so that's fine.

Ducting is fantastic! I like that it's white because it's more reflective than the foil versions (as measured by a lumen tester)

If you're buying this for a fan or filter, there are no issues and the material is extremely durable. None of the filters were able to completely encircle the fan and clamp it in place. So buy two EXTRA clamps, one for the filter, one for the fan, and one for wherever you're venting to.
