In my 85MHP17, I use the #2 replacement tube.

Does the tube come with any lubrication or what kind or type of lubricant is recommended for it?

There is no need for lube on this tube and I've never heard of any lube being required for it.

It is expected that these will fail in about 4 years

There is an approximate four-year life expectancy for these. As I mentioned before, I just replace them at the three year mark before they leak.
