Self-adjusting wear plates seal around the two unequally sized gears in Prince PTO pumps, and these plates are activated by internal fluid pressure to offset wear or expansion.

Inlet port adapters (SAE O-ring boss to hose barb) and outlet port adapters (SAE O-ring boss to female pipe threads) are included with every pump.

If the oil temperature rises above 180 degrees F, the reservoir may be too small, or a heat exchanger may be required.

Up to 100% of standard PTO shaft speeds, Prince PTO pumps are designed to 100% of standard PTO shaft speeds; Standard speeds are 540 rpm and 1000 rpm.

The relief valve setting on Prince pumps is 2250 PSI maximum; a relief valve must be provided in the system, external to the pump.

You probably can if you have enough clearance and make sure the inlet and exit are properly connected; however, you should consult the pump's manufacturer.

Aluminum is a softer metal than cast iron.

What size inlet hose do you recommend?

I have two pumps at my disposal. The hose adapter was designed for a 21 gallon container. 25 inch . Because the pump was too big for the equipment, I replaced it with a 7. I used the 1 gallon pump instead of the 5 gallon pump. Hose is 25 inches in length.

Is it correct that while the center section is made of aluminum, the end plates are still made of cast iron?

Yes. Example: HC- pto- The 1A is made of aluminum with a cast front and back. A HC- PTO- All of the cast iron in 1AC is made in the United States.
