Please note that the cap's ID is 1-5/8" and it fits tubes with an OD of 1-5/8". On a 1-5/8" OD, it's a tight fit. It can stretch by 1/16" without tearing and is compatible with tubes with an outside diameter of 1-11/16".

Unless they aren't touched very often, they will most likely chip.

Is this something that can be done outside in the summer?

I'm not sure what you mean when you say "work." Mine is being used to close the emergency release valve on a propane tank in the backyard. It has been exposed to direct sunlight and rain and has held up well.

It's usable, but it's not meant to be used on a regular or heavy basis

The rubber on these was surprisingly thin, particularly on the bottom. They fit perfectly on the pipe I had them installed on, and I'll only be using them occasionally, so they should suffice.

These are a little larger/looser than I expected, but they provide the necessary protection. I wish they were a little tighter, but that's fine.

My treadmill is a perfect fit. When used as a finishing touch, My treadmill's handrail has a cap on it. In the end, one of the I couldn't find the caps on one side because they had come off. This is a vinyl end-cap. The cap cover was an excellent way to conceal the handrail's opening.

False quantity and product description! I ordered this product because it stated that it came in a package of 10 pieces

I ordered two packages and received a total of eight rubber caps (each package containing exactly four caps). The packaging even claims that there are ten of each, but there are only four. I couldn't give 0 stars, so I gave 1 star.
