Both ways can be used to install this
An air micronizer was installed to replace my Venturi by a water well service company. As time goes on, I am finding that it does not allow as much air into my water tank as the old Venturi tube did. As a result, the water tank will become flooded and the water pump will short cycle over time. Currently, I have to drain the water tank a couple of times a year to allow air to circulate. Our well house was very well taken care of by it.
