Thanks for the reply, Tommy. The chattering coming from your pressure tank could be the check valve. Normally, the check valve is right at the entrance to the pressure tank at the tee. As long as your set up is suitable, then the check valve may be installed there. Depending on whether the chattering is happening on the actual contacts within the pressure switch, you may just need to replace the pressure switch itself. The last time I replaced my pressure tank was about a year ago. My old tank had a replaceable bladder that had rusted out due to a small leak, so it was no longer available, not to mention the inner tank had rusted out due to the leak and rendered the replacement * The Amtrol WX- is one of the top models The 302 was installed without any problems and seems to have worked as expected. My dear friends. My instinct tells me that this one is a winner.
It's difficult to find a better pressure tank than that of Amtrol. The construction is excellent and the design is very good. Easy access to water from a well for a well-watered house.
I needed to replace an old one, and this fit nicely in.
The product is nice.
Despite having been in use for a year, this product is still operational as if it was brand.
I returned the item because it was damaged (dented). It can be found elsewhere for less as well.
one was in the house when we bought it, so I can't comment on the difficulty of installation, but I can comment on how old it is and how well it still works. Recently, I had to have our 26 yr old well pump/motor replaced, so I asked the company if it was time to consider replacing the well motor as well. Quite honestly, he said Amtrol is one of THE best pressure tanks on the market. If there isn't any evidence of rust in it, he wouldn't be planning on replacing.
It has only been about a month since the tank was installed, so I can't comment on its longevity. I prefer the beige color to the old blue one which the company used to have. This tank has a good amount of pressure I think a 83 gallon container would be perfect for use at home.
