The tank weighs 12 pounds, and the stand for the 15 gallon weighs an extra 16 pounds if you choose the stand option.
Yes, these tanks are kept in the open. While we do not store anything in them, we do our best to keep them as clean as possible when they arrive at our facility.
We don't have 2" drains in our 15 gallon tanks, but we do have them in our 60 gallon and larger tanks.

These tanks are quite nice. I purchased two of these for my aquaponic system and am very pleased with them. They are well-made and made of thick material. They can only fit two people, according to the description. pounds of pressure, which is fine if you use them for what they were designed for: dispensing dry goods or non-pressurized liquids. Five out of five stars. br>br>However, as a hacker, I wanted to use these tanks as bio-defense systems. My aquaponics system requires filters. My water pump delivers water to the bio-remediation system. The water is filtered and then passed through a bio-filter. There is some pressure involved, but not much, as it travels through the medium and out the outflow pipe. (I drilled holes in the tanks, installed UniSeals, and then pushed pipes through the UniSeals. ) Seals will be used to create the in- outflow and flow lines of flow of water I installed valves on the bottom drains to allow solid waste to drain from the tanks' bottoms. Then, to make the lids more aesthetically pleasing, pressure- I took the lids off and unscrewed the screws holding the lid retainer ring to the tank. I removed the ring, applied a bead of silicone caulk to the retainer ring, reinstalled it, and secured it to the tank with screws. After that, I snatched two Silpat baking mats from the kitchen and made two gaskets, one for each tank, while my wife was away. I replaced the lids with these gaskets and screwed them back in place. To make the lids even more secure, I lightly tapped them with a hammer. I started the pump and waited for any leaks to appear, but there were none. My mod appears to be working fine. I'm not sure how much pressure is in the tanks, but it's at least two pounds. Everything appears to be fine. It's a good thing if you don't have any leaks in your life. br>br>(It's a nice story, but the Silpat baking mats were my wife's idea. ) I'm not sure what I'd do if she wasn't there.
I bought two of these tanks a little over two years ago, and they've been great for supplying treated water to a hydronic system. The issue I had was with the material used for the "cable tie" that keeps the cover in place when it is removed. It appears to be made of a synthetic rubber-like substance - However, I recently removed the cover to top-up the batteries. The tie snapped, allowing the tank-attached piece to fall into the tank, sink to the bottom, and enter the attached piping. Fortunately, any foreign material is caught by a strainer filter before the pump. Aside from that, the tank and stand have performed admirably in our application. I took out the last cable tie and am now using the cover without it. I tested the cable tie and it easily breaks apart, so use caution - During the initial setup of your system, I recommend removing and not using the cover cable tie. Simply be cautious about where you place the cover once it has been removed.
The tank I received appears to have been either stored outside or resold to me after being used previously. The tank had algae inside the top ring, where the cover is attached, as well as slime in the bottom. A cheap hose clamp was attached to the bottom plug fitting as well. I was dissatisfied with my purchase and will not purchase from this company again.
Nope. br>Extremely high quality. Well made.
I received a perfect score of one. I used a 5inch sanitary adapter for the bottom and thoroughly cleaned it before adding a batch of beer. After a week, it still smells great. Without a doubt, I would purchase another.
nice.
All of the fittings are as described, including the 2" npt full drain! In order to get my winery back on its feet, I'm fermenting a 75 gallon batch of apple cider. So far, I haven't had any problems with sanitation.
Quality is excellent, and the product arrived on time.
