Questions & Answers

Is it possible to pump sulfuric acid with it?

The answer is yes, but, and here is the big but, you need to check how resistant the tubing material is to sulfuric acid. In the event that you do not like what you find, you can replace the tubing with another type of plastic.

The speed of the pump is controlled with a rotary dial. How do you do that?

As a rule, one does not try to control the pump's speed, rather one controls the flow. Depending on how long it has power, you can control how long it is active. To put it another way, you pump power until it pumps what you need. If you do that, you remove your

What if I need potable water from this pump?

There is a method for changing the tube The difficulty varies for all peristaltic pumps although they can all be used So, if you use a suitable material, there would be no problem using potable water in this manner. (I am not sure of your application but you need to be aware that the flow rate is very

It is strange that there is no information available How many amps, watts, and what is the diameter of the hose?

On the pump, it is written directly in the heading what size hose it takes. The tube has an ID of 3mm and an OD of 5mm. The replacement tube can be purchased on Amazon. The following is an O-rephrase My use involves fitting rings around the connectors of the pump to adapt it to 1/4" tubing.

The juicer is cheap, but it works (after it has been overjuiced)
3/5

The package was well protected and I received it on time. By hooking up the pump to a power supply, I was able to get it to work at I had to play with it a little bit to get the inner rollers to move around after I turned on the motor. It is unclear how well the seal is applied inside the tubing when the tubing is being held in place by a white housing that bends quite a bit. put one end of the tube into some water and tested it, but it did not work. It was clear that nothing was being With the power down to 12V, the motor started up and begun sucking up and spitting water out of the other end of the tube as it should. I was able to reduce the motor's speed to a low RPM after this process while it still worked.

I'm pretty sure my fridge works now, but I overloaded it with a power supply after all. In case you're looking for a cheap motor you don't want too invested in, this might work, but I would go in another direction.

Whenever it works, it is cheap and great, but too often it breaks
3/5

As you will see, I am trying to be fair in this review, as this is a very inexpensive There is no doubt that it offers plenty of benefits Wow, what an amazing thing to witness This pump is a good deal if used occasionally and for fun projects. But if you're trying to make it part of a serious project, this pump is a money pit. Pumps that would operate continuously were needed for a project I was working on. As far as I'm concerned, it's this that matters the most- Because the pumps cannot work continuously, they are not suitable for continuous operation. Buying more came about as a result of my first one performing well. They never seem to be able to get back together again. As a result of friction between the rollers and the shaft, there are serious problems. There is a shaft that drives the rollers directly on this pump. Since they grind their surfaces so often, they create fine black dust and produce black dust. As their surfaces become rougher, they also damage the hose, so I'm requiring them to be replaced so often. The hose in my car is burst at maximum pressure. The 24-hour clock It has been 48 hours since yesterday. Furthermore, since there is direct contact between the shaft and the rollers, I cannot lubricate this pump at all, which could also explain the black dust. Further, the rollers that are too roughed up when I drive the pump can only handle 12V at highest speed. Once again, I am trying to be fair when reviewing a pump for $10. You can use it sporadically for small tasks here and there, but you won't be able to use it for anything that is remotely serious. One of the ten pumps I have has stopped working, and out of the nine that are left, only one or two operate properly. Based on what I've seen so far, I'm fairly certain they will also stop working eventually.

The pump is cheap and it pumps well
4/5

The parts I purchased were for a project. But when I opened the box, I noticed that there was no oil on the inner part of the pump head. The most likely reason was that the item sat in a warehouse for an unknown length of time. In order to lubricate the heads, I disassembled them all. There were metal shavings in the pump housing of one of the pumps! By using compressed air, I was able to clean it. Reassembling the devices and testing them at 12 volts was my next step. When you apply positive voltage to the red terminal on the rear of the pump, the pumps turn consistently counter clockwise. Their sounds do not resemble chewing gum. Pumping water is what they do. My application does indeed require a bit of slowness, but it's fine for me.

Initially I couldn't get any of them to work, even though I purchased ten of them
3/5

Their arrival today was announced. It did not work for any of them even after wiring them. A UPDATED version. My first attempt at adjusting the pumps took me some time and I had to hand turn them by hand to loosen them. Once they were loose in that way, I was able to get 9 out of 10 of them to work. While they work well, they are very slow, taking up to 15 seconds per ounce.

If you start using them promptly after purchasing them and continue to use them, they will be of great service to you
3/5

When put on for too long, the rollers will permanently crimp the silicone tubing shut, and the only way to get it back open is to force something through the tube with considerable force, or it could be because the silicone tube is worn. *br*br*As far as accuracy, repeatability, and reliability, they all produce a flow rate of approximately one milliliter per second, at 12V, with an accuracy of about 0. 1 percent. Approximately 2 mL. It is not uncommon to have multiple pumps that pump the same thing, so a pump that pumps 1 is pretty consistent. Pumping 2mL/second pumps 1 pretty much every time. As a 1 to 1 ratio The flow rate was 3 milliliters per second. Please note that I'm using a graduated syringe and an Arduino script as my measurement method, so you should take these numbers with a grain of salt. If you need more precision than 1mL definitely calibrate your dosing circuit and compare the performance or each pump.

I am very pleased with the product, it is accurate and very low energy
5/5

A great deal The pumps, three of which I just calibrated, have just been tested. According to my expectations, the flow rate should have been 100 ml/min here is the result* Pump The pump will move 82 ml a minute. The pump 3 is rated for 102 ml/min. My results are overall positive and I am happy about this. Even though I was not a huge fan of the design, I was able to get four of them to appear very neatly inside the 3D printed custom box. Thus, nothing to be concerned about.

Having a weak pump causes a lot of problems
3/5

While I was away from home, I bought it to be able to water my plants. Even though it works, the motor does not have enough pressure drop to operate long tubes. At present, I have a 1 foot tube connecting the bottles of water to the pump, and 6 inches of tubing going from the pump to the Y connector, as well as two 6 inch tubes leading There is only a small pressure drop through the tubing, that is 2 feet in length, and barely moves.
