Questions & Answers
The 720A was redesigned by Wilkins to flow left instead of right, as was the case with the original 720A. Be aware that if the handles face the wall, the drain cocks will face the wall as well, preventing you from reaching the screws and draining the unit for the winter. It's possible to remove the drain cocks, clean the threads, and reinstall them. Apply teflon tape to the screws, then reinstall them so that they face outwards away from the wall. However, if they are not tightly fastened, they will leak.
You're contacting previous purchasers, but I believe you need to purchase the entire unit.
They bleed on their own.
This is the same question I have, except I need a 1/2" inlet from the bottom. If the two ball valves are to remain accessible, the configuration shown should be used. Mine is too close to the house to install this style, so I'll need one that exits to the right, but keeps the ball valves in the front, as shown. Is this a model that Amazon has access to, or can one be requested from Zurn Wilkins? I tried calling them but was unable to reach them directly; please advise as soon as possible as I require one. Thank you for your excellent service and assistance, as always. William

I dialed 855-ZURN and spoke with him on the phone. 663- 9876 They want me to hire a plumber to test the equipment, then hand over the warranty replacement to Amazon. The warranty is handled by the manufacturer, according to the Amazon site. After a few days - br>br> Zurn sent me documentation to diagnose the unit, so I increased the rating from 1 to 3. After studying the document and experimenting with various options, it was discovered that the unit was in good working order. I was dissatisfied with the response of the manufacturer in terms of customer service and warranty handling. In the future, I will only purchase products from companies that take greater responsibility for customer questions and warranty issues.
I bought it because it was a lot less expensive than going to Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware, or (insert store here), and it was very simple to put together. I had no prior experience with sprinkler watering systems, but now I consider myself an expert. br>So with this product. . . After years of battling to keep my grass watered and trying to make my yard look better than my neighbors', I decided to install 400 feet of sprinkler line and four zones. br>I completed everything up to my connection on both sides where this backflow valve connects; it was so simple to install that my 9-year-old daughter did the majority of it because, after all, she needs to do something with her time during the summer vacation, right? br>In our water district, annual inspections are required, as well as a pre-installation inspection. It passed inspection with flying colors, receiving numerous compliments and accolades (no joke, there must be a lot of "really terrible installations out there). This brand, according to the inspector, is top-notch. When I bought it, I had no idea what I was getting myself into; all I wanted to do was save $35-$40. However, at the time, $40 was a nice bonus to hear, right? br>br>The only drawback is that I now have far too much free time because I don't have to worry about watering a lawn thanks to a faultless automatic irrigation system. What am I supposed to do now? As a reward for having to deal with all of this extra time, you should send me on an annual vacation.
I absolutely adore it. This item comes at a fantastic price. I absolutely adore it. It's easy to appreciate the device's aesthetics and how it functions. For $225, the groundskeepers offered to repair the device. I looked up this device on YouTube and listened to everything they had to say, so when I bought my item, I knew exactly what to do and, sure enough, I followed all of the instructions, and my irrigation system now works perfectly. This was about the same price as the plastic parts that go inside of this item, so I SAVED a lot of money on this job. If you can, I recommend purchasing the entire package and performing the work yourself. It was incredibly simple for me.
The gasket does not seal properly. I noticed that it was leaking from under the back cap after I installed the system. When I removed the black cap, I discovered that the metal plate with the orange gasket would not seal when the water pressure increased. A good deal of water was still flowing through the back flow and out the top. I turned the little plate a few times with the pin sticking up and it continued to eat fast water or spray high pressured water out into a mist in most positions. I was able to find the'sweet spot' for the time being to keep it from leaking, but I am sure it will leak again soon because it is so finicky. I tried calling Amazon, but due to COVID19, you get a message stating that you are unable to speak with anyone and it hangs up on you. And now that the product has been delivered, I can't find a way to contact them. Because the piping is all glued together and it was a lot of work to put it in, I don't want to dismantle the whole thing. But I will say that going to a location in person is preferable because you won't have to deal with returning it if something goes wrong. And hopefully you don't get one that leaks.
This was bought to replace a model number that had been purchased several years before. The layout of vent orifices varies - As can be seen in the photos - However, the 1 inch inlet and outlet are not in the same place, which is completely unacceptable. As a result, what should have been a quick fix has turned into a major undertaking, with the one star rating due to the failure to manufacture to a consistent standard.
I was given a filthy, cracked valve that had clearly been used and removed. I contacted Amazon, and they sent me a replacement that appeared to be brand new, so I installed it. The valve began to leak after about a year. When I disassembled it, I discovered that the valve's internals were mild steel rather than stainless steel, as stated on the Zurn Wilkins spec sheet. This is a °Fkê item, most likely. Zurn Wilkins makes some excellent plumbing supplies, but don't buy them on Amazon!.
After the Texas Freeze of 2021, we bought this on Amazon after waiting two months for local stores to restock and failing. Although I paid a little more than the local price, it has served me well thus far. We now have to deal with the shutoff valves facing/rubbing the brick side of the house instead of facing outward as it should because of the way our sprinkler system pipes and flow is because of the way our sprinkler system pipes and flow is because of the way our sprinkler system pipes and flow is because of the way our sprinkler system pipes and flow is because of the way our sprinkler system pipes and flow is because of the way our sprinkler system pipes and flow is because of the way our sprinkler system pipes and flow is because But, in general, this product performs as expected; there are no major issues.
