I've had no issues with the one I purchased. Set up with the hose turned off and the pressure set. Return it for a new one if that doesn't work. br>Steve br>Steve br>Steve br
It is made in China, according to the label on the box.
Yes, by passing the pressure regulator reducer, the pressure can be reduced; however, be aware of the maximum pressure value, which is 16KG/ 35lbs.
It should be left alone. The glass has no water.

It earned three stars from me because it served me well for three camping seasons. I never tinkered with the settings. I used it exactly as it came out of the box. It was around 30 psi when it was measured. However, there will be no pressure this year. I notice that the needle has somehow become lodged on the wrong side of the small metal pin at zero after closer inspection. I'm not sure how it managed to jump over the pin. As a result, when connected to a water source, the needle will no longer move past zero. If you look at my photo next to the guage in the product photo, you'll notice that the needle should be on the left side of the pin.
I set the regulator to 50 when I first put it in place. After that, it was filled with water and the number 20 was displayed. I've tried adjusting it, but it won't change; it shows 40 sometimes, and 20 other times, but it won't change while I'm adjusting it. I contacted the company, and they informed me that it was oil, not water, and that it was normal and functioning properly. How would I know? The adjustable regulator doesn't adjust, so I'm not even sure it's set to the pressure I want. Plus, since I changed the setting without seeing any difference in the gauge, I'm not sure it's where I want it. As a result, this regulator belongs in the garbage.
Although it arrived in a decent box with plenty of padding, the adjustment screw is completely useless. The threads aren't even deep enough to keep the spring in place where you've placed it. I fixed it myself by disassembling it and using several washers as a spacer to set it at the desired 50 psi, which means it's no longer adjustable by the screw and can only be adjusted by disassembling it and adding or removing washers. It's a pity that I have to do this, but I don't want to go through the hassle of returning it. Plus, for my camper, I'd like it to stay at 50 psi or less, so it can't be tampered with and cause a leak. It's far superior to the wal mart preset, which is not only bulletproof for psi, but also a volume killer! When you turn on the water, the pressure drops from 45 to ten pounds per square inch. When the water is turned on, it doesn't drop nearly as much with this regulater. The difference in water pressure and volume is like night and day. Showers are fantastic.
This H2O pressure regulator has left a lasting impression on me. It's easy to disassemble and clean, comes with clear instructions, and is extremely durable - Take a look at that S/S gauge housing, for example. It was simple to set the 65 psi required by my commercial ice maker, and the water pressure has remained constant since installation. It keeps a good flow rate while not letting too much psi escape.
Last year, when it was brand new, the gauge worked perfectly. It will no longer drop below 60 PSI, whether or not the water is turned on. This regulator, as well as the attached gauge, have no faith in me. I had to revert to the old, cheap one that didn't have a gauge.
Over the course of a year, I used it about 5 times. For a while, it worked perfectly, but then it began to leak. I like the pressure gauge and the fact that it can be adjusted. I can't figure out how to fix it. It isn't as well constructed as it should be.
50 psi. No way, no how! It was at 30 degrees when I put it on, and it had more pressure than the cheapy from Walmart. It will suffice in a pinch, but I strongly advise purchasing this. To set the psi, you'll need a tiny flat head or a butter knife. This is just an FYI, not a complaint.
My RV's water pressure has greatly improved. It comes highly recommended. Investing in one with a movable gauge is well worth the money!.
