There is some plastic, but given how heavy this item is, I'm guessing it's mostly metal. In freezing temperatures, whether it's metal or plastic, I wouldn't leave standing water in it. This is unlikely to happen if your hose does not freeze.
Adding another of these won't get you to 25 psi. You'll need an adjustable pressure regulator to do this, which you can set to the desired pressure.

There is a lot of water flowing. Well? Let me tell you something. A pressure regulator that does not obstruct the flow of water. While someone is showering, you flush the toilet. The shower did not scream. The water pressure in the shower was constant. I have a total of twelve different water pressure regulators, and none of them come close to this one. It connects to the water hose line that comes into your RV and does not leak. I've always wanted a regulator like this. br>I've had it for a few days and it's perfect; I used a pressure meter on the outlet and it reads 45 psi. When I turn on the water inside, the pressure remains constant, and the water flow is as if there is no pressure regulator present. You should get one of these regulators as soon as possible. The RV community will snap them up quickly.
Update: 22nd of January, 2022 - If you're using this in cold weather, make sure the regulator is protected with some sort of insulation! Ours was (unknowingly) outside of our thermal wrap, and despite the fact that we use a heated hose and wrap in cold weather, this part was left exposed when we had several inches of snow (we rarely get snow, so it didn't occur to us to check and make sure all our line was covered up), and it was frozen by midnight last night. It took us a while to figure out that our line was fine, but our regulator had stopped working, and they were out of stock! ) I've learned yet another RV lesson. br>br>If you have an RV, this is a must have; we were constantly waiting for someone to stop using water to shower, flush the toilet, or wash their clothes. You can now wash your dishes and shower without fear of wasting all of the water. This is the most amazing thing I've ever seen, and I'm not sure why I waited 6 months to buy it. I used to have an adjustable regulator, which was always a pain. We're back to being "happy campers" now.
br>br>While this does NOT eliminate multiple faucet water pressure issues, it does so much more, way better than traditional water pressure regulators: 1. br>br> The showers have improved to the point where they are now comparable to those found in a home! The difference was immediately noticeable by our entire family! My wife and I were both blown away by this on the first morning. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br Filling the tank with water The toilet is much faster with ups. This may not appear to be significant, but it is. There is a significant difference! 3. br>br>4. br>br>5. br>br>6. Our bathroom sink faucet went from not being able to adequately rinse our toothbrushes to having plenty of pressure! 4. br>br> Water hoses on the ground are far more practical! br>br>In the past, I've had to replace gauge style water pressure regulators over time because they don't seem to hold up to the abuse of being outside; however, I've had this unit for 6 months and it still looks brand new! We've moved with it a few times now, and it's always been a breeze to take down and put back together! br>br>This is a purchase that you should make without hesitation. This is a must-have for RV owners. Don't put it off any longer; buy it now and you'll be glad you did!.
I've never used a better water pressure regulator! I've been living in an rv full time for years and have tried everything from cheap Walmart regulators to fancy ones with adjustments and gauges, but this one has put them all to rest. In the last few months, I've used this one in four different states with varying pressures and hardness of water, and my interior pressure has remained stable and my flow has been exceptional. br>Don't bother with the cheap brass regulators; they'll break down quickly and result in inconsistent flow; this one is far superior.
I've been living in an RV for quite some time now. ing for four years, and maintaining water pressure has always been a struggle. Showers are usually a trickle and constantly dealing with hot and cold water temperatures due to the sensitivity of the plumbing in an RV and unregulated water pressure in campgrounds. br>This is an unquestionably game-changing unit. changer! br>Both my wife and I were astounded by the amount of water we were able to get from this, as well as the consistent temperature of the water. We also have a portable water softener (which is an absolute must!). ) and am extremely pleased with this product. br>I would say that purchasing this is a requirement, not a suggestion; you will not be disappointed!.
The Max Flo water pressure regulator does an excellent job. I believe that I get 30% more water flow in my TV at 40-. 50 psi, which is higher than any other regulator I've tried.
I put mine on before the hose at the spigot. It's a cinch to hook up, and it gives you a lot of peace of mind. Because their pressure was 70 pounds per square inch, we stopped at a campground where they strongly recommended pressure regulators. So it's possible. br>br>The only thing I don't like about it is that I forgot to bring ours to the last campground and had to buy a new one. I'm not going to eat anything else.
To begin, I used a low-cost regulator that can be found almost anywhere. We had to use our pump instead of the line pressure because the pressure was so low with those. Because of the cold weather, I had to purchase an adjustable regulator and replace the pressure gauge. The brass then began to crack as a result of the weather. It's difficult to keep it warm. We've been using this one since November and haven't had any issues so far in March. I can easily wrap an insulated cover around it, and the water pressure is excellent.
