Questions & Answers

Will this work with a zone valve that is controlled by an automag?

No automags require a DC current to keep the valve closed, whereas a 24VAC current will cause the motorized valve to open. You may need to rewire and replace your thermostats, depending on your setup. I hope this information is useful.

Could I inquire as to where it is manufactured? Which country are you speaking about? Any questions about the subject will be beneficial. ?

China is the home of Valemo Zone Valves.

Is it possible that this head will fit into taco 571? 2 body. ?

Hi Danny. Unfortunately, we do not have a replacement head for TACO zone valves at this time. Only the Honeywell V8043 and V8044 are compatible. Thank you very much!

When will the two-way 3/4-turn with end switch be available again? I have two that are defective and must exchange them before Amazon's time limit expires. ?

Send it back now, and if they can't replace it, you'll get a credit; waiting will only mean you'll miss out on the chance to return it. It also saves you a spot in line for a valve that has been removed from the production line.

Selected User Reviews For Valemo V2313-A1S Motorized Zone Valve, 2-way, 3/4" Sweat, Normally Closed, 24 VAC with End Switch

The valve is extremely quiet
5/5

The review has been updated for the year 2021. I used these Valemo valves to replace two White Rodgers zone valves in my system. So far, I've been pleasantly surprised. First and foremost, I can get four of these for the price of one of the other valves. They were easy to install (once I figured it out) and are extremely quiet. Like a marble in a coffee can, the old valves rattled. I have no idea how these work. Because the installation instructions were vague and there was no wiring literature, I only gave it a four-star rating in my original review. If they are dependable, only time will tell. I'll make sure to update this review if I run into any problems. Detailed instructions for installation If you sweat while assembling, the o-rings will melt. rings. To unlock the latch and remove the head from the brass body, slide the small tab on the end of the valve. Remove the hex head cap from the bottom of the brass body and set it aside. Remove the small C-shaped cap from the top of the brass body and set it aside as well. clip from the brass body's top-protruding shaft Remove the shaft from the valve body, as well as the rubber "gate. " Sweat your copper piping with your entire body. Allow to cool completely before putting it back together. Wiring- The motor in the valve is controlled by the black wires. Your 24 volt power supply (transformer) has one black wire that connects to one of the lines. The other connects to your thermostat's return line. The transformer's second line connects to the thermostat's power supply. The two red wires are connected to a switch that closes once the valve has fully opened. These would normally be connected to your boiler and used to turn on the burner and pump. br>THE FIRST UPDATE - The valves have survived two winter seasons and continue to perform as well as they did when they were first installed. There were no issues at all. RECOMMENDED WITHOUT HEsitation. br>NEXT UPDATE - In the fall of 2015, the item was purchased and installed. Served me well during the winters of 2015, 2016, and 2017. In 2018, one of the two valves failed to fully open. As a result, the switch to turn on the burner and start the pump would not be tripped. No heat. (When I opened the valve, it made a squealing noise, as if a bushing or bearing had worn out. ) I'm back in business after a couple of WD40 squirts. I bought a backup in case the first one fails. Even if I have to replace them every four years, it still costs less than White Rogers valves. Still a good idea. I ended up using a spare head I had on hand to replace the damaged one. br>3rd UPDATE - Both of the valves became faulty in February 2021. They appear to have a three-year lifespan. They open and close fine; the problem is that they don't close the switch to turn on the boiler. I'll replace these once more, but this time I'll look for something that will last longer than three years. Still recommended because of the price and quietness, and it's still cheaper to buy four of these than it is to buy four White Rodgers. Just keep in mind that your dependability is limited. It is preferable to purchase two.

My leaking Honeywell zone valves were a snap to replace
5/5

I bought two of these to replace my heating system's leaking Honeywell zone valves. I prefer to wait a few days before writing a review on some products to see how they perform. I installed them over two months ago, and they've been performing as expected, and best of all, I'm no longer dealing with leaking Honeywell zone valves that were only five years old. I liked how easy it was to remove the entire electromechanical assembly by simply sliding the little tab over it, which made soldering these much easier and less stressful. I could see that the part inside the valve that actually opens and closes the water flow had what appeared to be a very hard rubber material on it to form the seal, and I was unsure if I should disassemble the internal portion of the valve before soldering because I was worried that I would melt that part. I submitted my question to the Valemo online support link and received an answer (that NO, you do not disassemble the valve before soldering and that it is d) So far, I'm impressed with the product and would prefer to use Valemo zone valves over Honeywell zone valves for these reasons.

One of these came with an incorrectly installed spring, so I contacted Valemo and they sent me a replacement actuator after I attempted to fix it under their guidance
5/5

Amazon wanted to replace the entire valve, which I had installed before discovering the failure of the limit switch to actuate. They sent me the actuator, which arrived in a matter of days. They sent me detailed instructions on how to use their product so that I could understand that the limit switch is only activated by the electric drive and not by the manual valve lever.

The radiant heating system can be quickly and easily replaced
5/5

With a quick sweat out and sweat in, I was able to install this in my radiant heating system to replace a failed HW valve. The original installation deserves credit for providing enough space to work in. Although I probably should have ordered a second backup, the delivery was extremely quick.

Zone valve that works well
5/5

The installation was flawless, though the wiring instructions were a little hazy. Valve is of excellent quality and is nicely soldered in. I'm going to buy more! The ease with which the power head can be removed is appealing.
