Product Description

This 3-way, 2-position hand operated manual controlled valve is used for controlling diaphragms, pilots, or air pumps of large valves, small cylinders, or pressure systems that alternately pressurize and exhaust.

CONSTRUCTION NBR (nitrile rubber) seal is installed between industrial grade aluminum alloy components.

A green spring back button is used to open and shut the valve monetarily. To prevent accidental operation, the button sits flush against the surface.

HI, I am building a robotic arm and I am gonna use pneumatic valves 5/2 with solenoids. I would like to know if I should be able to use this push button?

The valve you want is not solenoid-operated, but manually operated. There is no way that this is what you are seeking. In the case where you already own solenoids and want a valve you can run with those solenoids, this one wouldn't be the best choice. There is too much stiffness in the action.

What happens when you press the button? Does the button flush like the photo shows?

Typically, I have mine approximately 1/8 inch above flush, but it will start functioning just before flush (mine starts working just before flush).

Does this valve have the capability of being used as a normally closed ?

In terms of water control, I have no idea how it would perform. The air came out of it. If it is connected in a normally closed fashion or in a normally open fashion, then it can be used either way.

In a nutshell, It does what it is supposed to do. It was necessary to control a dump valve for an ultra high pressure pump using a two position switch.

There is a lot of air flowing through this valve

The toilet was definitely not flushable, but that was a plus for me since I used my knee to operate it. With this valve, I can get large amounts of air flowing through my blast cabinet, which is used to power a pneumatic vibrator. It was powered by a low CFM design which barely covered the vibrator's needs.

I was able to use this for my application with no problems

There is not a complete flushing of the button, as others have noted, but I did not have an issue with it. I was able to use this for my application with no problems. The ports do their own thing so there is no instruction, but it's easy to figure out what they do. On the switch there is an arrow that indicates the proper direction for flow.
