The way to fix it is to put a little groove in the tube at the correct place. To see where they bit into a plastic tube, look at the place where they bit into it. Then, push a groove into the tube with a tubing cutter in that location. This takes a very small amount of the tube, and you don't want to cut it. You will see what happens when you practice on scraps the teeth inside grab the groove when they are inside. Stainless tubing with them is what I use. Wall with a thickness of 035". You can pull them out of the groove without leaving a groove behind. Please also take note that the teeth will likely scratch the copper surface if you remove the collar, so be aware to push and hold the collar all the way down before removing it. The teeth UC are retracted when the collar is pushed down, and it is also an excellent method of retracting plastic tubing.
As long as the tube's outer diameter is 1/4 inch, there is no reason to refrain from it.
There are about half an inch of thread on the reel. The taper of the thread is a downside to the thread, as some thread will show through the female thread when sealed together. If you are going to connect this fitting to a coupling, make sure that the coupling is

The cheap plastic ones that were on my F-35 Air Lift system needed to be replaced by these Quite the truck. The soapy solution revealed that air leaks were emanating from the areas where these fasten into the air. The problem was that replacing the brass bolts did not solve the issue, and the bags had to be replaced since the leak was between the screw holes in the brass fittings and the bags themselves. The idea was worth a try, but my replacement bags did not come with new elbows, so I used these to attach the elbows to There is no bleeding down and all is tight.
They were a great product, I used them on my truck air bags. There were some brass fittings on the bags that were difficult to remove, so I purchased these to replace them. Fortunately, I used the head or female part of the fitting, which rotates around. It came in a plastic bag with Teflon tape, so it was very simple to install. They would be my first choice for connectors again and I would recommend them to anyone needing pneumatics.
You guys need these for air horns or any type of air suspension of any kind. There are many others out there, but these are by far the best. They are easy to use, they do not leak, and I have a unit with 180 lbs of pressure with no problems.
The air lines are swivel so that your suspension doesn't bind up if it moves a little. My installation was completed with blue locktite, I did not detect any leaks.
The quality of these should replace the low quality ones that come with AirLift air bags. Their strength and ease of installation make them an excellent choice.
In order to prevent failure of Air Lift bags, this PTC connector can be changed before the stock one fails.
This part was installed on a Peterbilt truck that had air suspension. The air line must be squarely cut in order for it to work. I would buy from them.
Connector is easy to use, but I wish it were available with 1/4 pipe thread option as well In addition, it stated the thread size of the pipe in the product description, so users would need to purchase thread adapters to use the product.
They are ideal for running air switches or air lines in our shop. Air lines that are easy to run at low prices.
