I made giant tinker toys for my 7-year-old daughter out of these. Each style of fitting is color coded because I used a different color for each one. It appeals to her. It reminds me of a giant tinker toy set I used to have as a kid that is no longer available. These fittings hold the pipes together snugly, but they can also be easily pulled apart. So far, she's built a helicopter chair that she can sit in (though it doesn't actually fly), as well as several forts (one of which I can stand in!). ) and a Chinese jump rope court that I have no idea what it's called.

Used to fill a Reef tank with water. There were no leaks when I used standard PVC glue. It has a nice appearance and does the job.
