I cannot use this 3/8" flare with my 3/8" yellow jacket

A brass 3/8" male NPT to 3/8" male JIC tube does not fit my yellow jacket hose of 3/8", nor does it have the exact same dimensions as a brass 3/8" male npt to 3/8" male JIC tube. There's a pretty good chance I'm going to have to return hundreds of dollars worth of parts unless the company will explain how to fit the "3/8" JIC male" to the 3/8" brass female flare (or the 3/8" yellow jacket hose).
