This grade of wood is structurally stronger than furniture grade, as it is impact proof and UV resistant, so it won't yellow or become brittle over time. Pipes and fittings that are part of Schedule 40 may change color, and they may crumble. A piece of furniture grade PVC is five times stronger than one made from plumbing grade.

In order to build a racing simulator cockpit, I purchased a bunch of Formufit pipe and fittings. I was impressed by how neatly the pipes were packaged, and they seemed brand Stained and scratched fittings, as if they were in a large bin with other parts, appear to have been in different stages of being used. There is no reason to expect them to be "new". My guess is that it shows up more prominently on black than on any other color. On the plus side, they are completely free of markings and are relatively smooth and clean looking in comparison to other devices. Fittings that are specially designed for construction. All the fittings seem to be fitting on to the pipe nicely. I have not yet finished assembly, so I can't comment on whether or not they are "4 times stronger" than standard construction.
