Do not purchase this if you expect it to be useful. It's cheaply made and does the job. It cannot expand when you flip the little handle, and it does not stay flipped even if it did expand. It is useless.

The plugs work well with coolant hoses of 5/8 inch ID

This seal will not expand

The tolerances are so poor that it cannot expand and can never seal a hole big enough to accommodate it. The only way around this is to make a different Once the first one I ordered was damaged, I had to modify it to make it work. The replacement was just as bad as the first one.
